OYO 13272 Hotel Country Resort

I went to Dalhousie in the first week of June, we booked this hotel through Cleartrip. While booking nothing was clear regarding this property. When we checked in we noticed that it is just a sub-standard normal lodge type hotel. Room condition was terrible. Bathroom was stinking. No hot water supply, despite this fact that a Geyser was fitted there. Blankets were very dirty and the condition of Bed Sheets and Pillows are also not good. ||So please guys don't go by name of this hotel and try to avoid this.

If what you long for is the mesmerising, panoramic view of vast, dense expanse of coniferous green trees dotted with colorful little houses and snow-capped mountains in the distance, separated by many layers of mesemerizing mountains from your hotel room's window, look no further; book this hotel right away. You just can't possibly get a better view.||On a clear day, the very first rays of sun shine brilliantly straight into your room. The skies are sparkling blue. Soak up all the sun you can. Even at such high altitude, after a while it gets hot sitting in the pristine sun.||In fact, when it comes to great views, any hotel in Khajjiar will beat hollow even the best of hotels in Dalhousie.||Now, coming to mundane things that matter to most of the travellers.||Rooms, though not bad, are strictly average. No electric cattle, no guarantee of hot water, somewhat saggy mattresses, clunky drawers, latches, and doors, old bath fittings, minimal number of TV channels, open water jugs, regular furniture is what you get. It's not as bad as it might sound, but it does feel underwhelming. You get much better rooms at similar prices you pay elsewhere.||Food is okay but very expensive. Easily 70-80% costlier than even better rated Dalhousie hotels. There is hardly any variety in food and because there is absolutely nothing in the vicinity, you have to make do with whatever is there. The quantity served is abysmally low. In fact, a yellow dal we ordered wasn't even half the usual amount you get anywhere. We just double-checked from kitchen if it's indeed the full plate. It was full plate. So, taking into account both high prices and low quantity, the food here actually here costs 2-3 times it would at any similar place. For certain items though, for example, Aloo Parantha (only option in the breakfast), was sufficiently big. The service is slow as well. It takes at least 30 minutes to get what you ordered. There is no restaurant; you get the food in your room.||The drinking water seemed a bit dubious what with steel jugs having no cover. We ended up drinking mineral water for full two days, which costed us a lot. In fact, a regular Rs 20 mineral water bottle costs Rs 30 here. So, brace yourself for water costs.||When we stayed, the hotel was short of staff and the couple of guys for room service seemed clueless. The reception guy too wasn't much welcoming and would freely smoke his beedi right next to the reception (not while at the reception)||Location is quite off-beat. It is a good 10-15 minutes away from main Khajjiar, deep into the forest. The approach road is a bit messy for cars but still vehicles ply regularly. Swings, slides, and merry-go-rounds at the hotel keep the kids happy.||A tip: Booking online through OYO will cost you much less than reaching the hotel and then asking for a room.||Overall, an okay stay if you don't want a luxurious stay and can compromise with lack of variety and high price of food.|

My trip planner has booked this hotel for my stay in Dalhousie. ||Hotel is still in construction. Rooms are not clean. Flies, insects are there on bed & toilets. ||No proper management, Reception is like a person sitting & handling the hotel. ||Its a dharamshala not a hotel. On my way to room, I am able to look into kitchen, and found it very ugly. ||So I decided to escape from this hotel & move to the neighbor hotel.

Place is good and people are good. They provide nice food freshly prepared. But u need to climb down multiple flights of stairs to reach the hotel

country resort is the best hotel in dalhousie excellent service excellent food honest & copertive staff rooms are neat and clean and big rooms mr. kamlesh thakur is the good person in hotel i am very pleasure good view from the rooms good view from open tarrace
