The room is very pretty and aesthetic. Location is bit far from the main market and tourist places but you can get bus or cab easily to this place. The experience will be worth it.

Very friendly host. Down to earth. Hospitality is the work he loves. Met a great friend. Would love to visit the place again whenever my schedule permits me. There's a personal touch in all the efforts this guys take up. At night silence plays the music n stream down below adds flute to it. Just soothing n relaxing time. Thank you Rudaraksh. One of the best places to stay. Serene view just outside the window and secluded from city hustle, a cosy stay with great ambiance and homely meals. Host is genuine person with a rich knowledge of local area. Definitely a place to go if coming to Chamba.

I recently stayed at a Proto hostel as a solo traveler, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The overall stay was fantastic, with clean and comfortable accommodations that exceeded my expectations.Rudraksha owner of the hostel was exceptionally helpful throughout my visit, going above and beyond to ensure I had a great time. They provided valuable local insights, recommending must-see attractions and hidden gems that only a local would know. He also arranged a movie night for all traveller at the terrace. Their assistance made my trip even more memorable. I highly recommend this hostel to any solo traveler seeking a friendly atmosphere, impeccable service, and a truly unforgettable stay.

Very nice space out of crowd in Chamba city for staying with family and friends. Neat & clean rooms. Food is home made & very tasty . Owner is very helpful and smiling face .

I cannot put my experience into words but I will try. Firstly the owner is super cool he was very welcoming and friendly. He helped us with all the necessary info like nearby attractions, history of chamba and near by places how to commute while we were there. Bhaiji arranged a memorable 31st Dec for us and we enjoyed every moment of it. The place is very hygienic and comfy, interior is beautiful. We even managed to setup a theatre on rooftop and watched a movie there. The food was very delicious and chef was very helpful and patient throughout the stay, we had a great time with him. Chamba is not very popular in terms of tourism in comparison to other places in Himachal but I would love to visit Chamba again and stay at proto hostel because it felt like home there

Proto Hostel in Chamba is a cozy spot run by a friendly family. The rooms are comfy, the food is tasty homemade fare, and you've got Rudrakh and Samarth, the brothers who are always there to help out or just hang out with you. It's a great pick for a relaxed stay in Chamba where you'll feel right at home.

This hostel reflects the most exemplary quality of Chamba, it's hospitality. Chamba is the literal definition of a utopian society. I stayed here for only one day but I felt so good and peaceful here that I want to keep coming back and more so because of the people here. If you want to feel at home please do stay here. Rudraksha, the owner of this place, helped us plan our day and gave us some information about the history of Chamba. Inhone ye ghar bht man se aur dil se banaya hai and that reflects in the warmth that he welcomes people with. The location is good, the view from the hostel is indescribable, you have to visit the place, the beds are so comfortable and the rooms are thoughtfully designed, everything is very clean. About the food, everything that I tried here was so so good that the taste still lingers in my mouth. Thanks to Ajit for his skills in cooking. Chinese zaroor khaye!
