The Park View

Scary - On November 23rd, around 11 PM, I had initially booked a hotel at The Park in New but had to change plans due to delays on our way to Bir Billing. We decided to stay overnight in Mandi and checked into a room on the second floor of The Park View hotel. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact room number. From the moment my wife and I entered the room, we felt an eerie and unsettling atmosphere, as though something was wrong. Despite this, we decided to stay and ordered food--roti with kadhai paneer--around 11:30 PM. We ate only a little, but the food remained largely untouched. Shortly after eating, both of us started experiencing severe stomach pain around 3 AM. Convinced something was seriously wrong, we decided to head to the hospital. However, the journey turned into a nightmare. Despite having a car and knowing the route, we encountered unexplainable difficulties. The navigation maps stopped working, and we repeatedly struggled to find the hospital. Eventually, we came across police officers who kindly assisted us in reaching the hospital. After receiving medical attention, we returned to the hotel, gathered our belongings, and left immediately. That experience--both in the room and during the night--left us shaken. To this day, we can't explain the unsettling and negative occurrences at that hotel.

We frequently dine here. The snacks and food are excellent. Wish they could provide mutton and fish as some other restaurants in Mandi town.

Fantastic Hotel to stay with family, friends. Very clean & hygienic all over hotel. Staff, Managers all are very Good. One of the best hotel I stay.

This is in regard to the Restaurant only as I was not staying there. So the food is quiet at a very good price. It is not costly at all. Clean washrooms, clean seating area. Great view outside the window of the restaurant. The best is the staff. Very humble + hospitality at best.

Good boarding n lodging facilities. Affordable rates .

Unnecessary charges. Staff is untrained & it is not justified to pay such charges for this kind of property and services. Note to hotel owner:- Your front office staff is rude and unable to justify unnecessary charges without any written bills. They are looting money from customers

Good food, courteous staff, great service and parking available. The rooms were very clean.

The hotel is a 2 star category. Good if you want a low cost hotel. Room and washroom was clean but not perfect. Bed sheets, towels, washbasin etc were not in bad shape but not absolutely clean. View from room is good. If you are looking for luxury hotel then it's a no. There is no geyser in the washroom, hot water depends on solar. In all good for price 1000-1500.
