Hotel Elm

I booked two rooms in Hotel Elm and stayed there on 18-12-24 and checked out on 19th morning. Surprisingly the hotel turned out to be really bad in all respects despite having good reviews. First thing that shocked me upon check in was that lift was not operational and I and my wife (with a painful knee) had to climb the stairs. The staff kept mum when I asked them since when the lift is not operational and when it will be repaired...indicating that generally the lift does not work. I was told that room was centrally heated but the heating function did not work. When I called the service staff, they switched on the heating mode from their master control. However this did not improve the room temperature. I had paid for free breakfast so next morning I get a call from their desk saying that breakfast will be served in room only. When I protested then they told me to go to the roof top as they do not permit guests to have breakfast in their ground floor restaurant. So they expected guests to climb three floors (since lift is not working) and have breakfast in bitter cold at the rooftop early in the morning. I was content with having a fixed breakfast in room despite paying for a full fledged buffet spread. The room was stinking and the staff could not understand the reason behind it. The service was poor. Also we seem to be the only guest in that hotel. The hotel management is only alert about bad reviews and gives great replies to all bad reviews but hardly anybody is available to address the issues faced by the guests. Why don't they inform the guest if the lift is not working and permit guests to use the kitchen lift in case someone is unable to climb stairs is not clear. Why don't they use their restaurant to serve breakfast and insist on giving room service where you have very limited choice to order from is not clear. Why do they charge so heavily? what for? I am surprised that this hotel is still in business.

Overall it was nice stay here. Rooms are good, staff is courteous and allowed to change the dress and allocated one room even after my check out. Only cons was the breakfast in room.. due to lower occupancy they offered breakfast in room that whs also good but limited options .. so there is need of improvement..rest all was good enough

Stayed this week of June'23 with family, Had an excellent & luxury stay. Rooms are very well done, specious bathroom with all the facilities. Entire staff is very helpful, friendly, well trained & always ready to serve with smile. All the meals were delicious - Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. They have a beautiful Restaurant & Bar named BISAAT - Mughlai cuisine is a must-taste one at this restaurant with amazing cocktails, great ambiance. They also have CHUGLI - the terrace lounge cafe & bar with great collection of beverages, cocktails, amazing food, great ambiance with good music.|Highly recommended!

Location of hotel is easy to find. I was stay for official work in Chandigarh. It's service to good. All staff is very polite n their behavior excellent. I think it's a comfortable place to get any time.

Very Comfortable rooms and well maintained room, clean and spacious. Basic amenities were provided- Tea & Coffee Suppliers given like 5 start hotels- Option like Green Tea, Assam Tea, English Breakfast tea, regular tea bags and coffee- Sugar option like sugar free, brown sugar, and normal sugar. Its quite peaceful place also. Room service were quick and food was also good. Totally worth the rates charged per night. They do have roof top restaurant and one main dinning restaurant in the name of Bisat- Have spacious free parking -

Stayed here for a good 6 days. The hotel staff is friendly, rooms are clean and fairly spacious, and the location seems good. Only.couple complaints are that they played really loud music the first night we were there costing us our sleep until 130am and the breakfast service can be a little annoying as they don't bring your orders as you asked for it at time making you have to repeat orders over again. I'd come back to stay here.

Recently visited this outlet to try out their wok & wow food festival. ||This cafe is beautifully done up with roof top sitting, live bar and DJ performance. With an absolute different vibe this place makes you feel that you are in some other world. ||||Talking about the food they have some really interesting dishes on their regular menu as well besides the food festival. When visiting, you should definitely try dimsims, orange chicken, sweet potato chips, White fungus salad and cheese cake. ||They have some interesting cocktails as well which are worth giving a shot. ||||In the daytime it's more like a cafe and as the sun sets it becomes an open air lounge. ||A perfect party place in the heart of Panchkula. ||||Good luck to the team. ||Happy eating ||Anmol (@thebhukkadblog)
