Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula, an IHG Hotel

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Holiday Inn. I booked this hotel for my wedding in October 2024, signed a contract, and even paid an advance. However, two months before my wedding, the hotel shut down unexpectedly, and not a single staff member or manager informed us about it. They kept telling us that the hotel would reopen, right up until the last moment. My guests were flying in from Australia and Canada, with their tickets already booked, and we had no idea the venue wouldn't be available. This caused us an enormous amount of stress, especially since I had come to the hotel early in March 2024 to finalize everything and had been assured of a smooth process. With just 3-4 weeks left before the wedding, I had to scramble to find a new venue as we couldn't change the date. Now, the hotel is reopened, and they are not even talking about a refund for our advance. However, they claim we need to get the money back from the old owner, not the hotel chain, despite us having trusted the Holiday Inn brand (an international IHG hotel).We gave our money to a hotel chain not a person so this is complete bullshit. This entire situation has been a nightmare, and I would strongly advise against booking anything with this hotel. The management and communication were terrible, and they completely ruined an important day for us. Save yourself the trouble and choose somewhere else.

The service provided by the staff was really good. They are so welcoming especially the dine in area staffs Niharika and Akash were providing impressive service. And the food is just amazing!! Keep it up

The hotel and staff are running a scam and they're not returning any calls or the money that was paid to them as advance for my engagement ceremony. They've caused so much harassment and still there's no communication for the 1 lakh advance paid to them.

Could not have had a better experience. We stayed in 512 / 515. This stay was a gift to my family and my in-laws and they had a wonderful experience. The swimming pool access was allowed beyond operational hours. Being an IHG employee, I can imagine how critical feedbacks are. I am sure this will be considered positively. Wire of hair dryer visible, grouting in bathroom to be redone, drainage to be improved. Looking forward to be back on our next visit to India.

The room was pretty old but the food was excellent. We had some issues in our room but the food made it all good . The bacon was supper fresh all the continental food was amazing. The staff offered us some chocolate pancakes and they were really good the buffets were supper good having things around the world. Thanks to all the staff members.

It was a great stay, lovely ambiance of the hotel. Hotel is improving very well and staff is very helpful very attentive. Specially mentioned Rohit the front desk manager is doing very excellent job , who always took care of us very well. Thank you so much for everything keep it up.

I recently visited for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday, but unfortunately, my dining experience fell short of expectations. Despite opting for the buffet, I was only provided with a starter and was not offered soup or a cold beverage, which are typically included in the buffet package. To my surprise, I was presented with a bill of Rs. 2200. I was disappointed that the promised buffet spread was not provided, and I hope you will take steps to ensure that future customers..

Hi Team, I've been to several IHG properties so far and I look out for Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn express during my intercity stays. My recent experience at Chandigarh was a disappointment. I stayed here only for one day to board my flight on time and to crash in the city for one peaceful night post a personal vacation in North India. Here is all that was wrong with the property: 1- Main lamp of the room was blinking. Shouldn't this be checked before allotting the room? I called the reception and the engineer was sent. He tried but he couldn't resolve it. I stayed in a darker room because I was crashing only for one night. 2- The wardrobe door was broken. It had a default light which made it difficult to sleep since the door didn't close properly. I engineered this issue with a towel to stop the light 3- The bathtub water came out of the shower drain when flushed. This is something I did not expect to experience in an IHG hotel. Moreover the engineers were not able to solve this issue! (Again I did not ask for a room change because I only had a night to pass) The cleaner tried unclogging and left the dirt in the shower as is. He promised to send housekeeping to clean it out but did not. I had to ring the reception again to send a rep to clean the dirt they left behind. 4- Washroom flush stopped working. The engineer repaired it when called. 5- There were multiple open wirings. The socket next to the bed would literally come off the wall. 6- There were no mirrors in the room. (Only in the washroom) My experience at Mumbai Holiday Inn, Nashik Holiday Inn express, Noida and Greater Noida Holiday inn & Crowne is very different and is the reason why I selected Holiday Inn in during my short stay in Chandigarh. I expected a peaceful day before my flight but I was extremely disappointed with the stay.
