Hotel Dharamvilla

Booked the hotel through Agoda. The hotel owner was professional enough to charge 20/- for a mineral water bottle but forgot that professional approach when it was the customer's turn to receive what they paid for. A geyser as a showpiece in washroom may sound funny but it was for the geyser had only body but no connection with water pipes and no internal machinery just outer body. Room was subsequently changed but now the room given had stench from earlier guest leaving. A torn bath towel and a small soap to wash your hands after toilet and take bath, would speak a lot about sorry state of affairs in this hotel. Broken handle inside of the washroom door would add to cheapness and slopiness of the people involved in running this hotel. Hospitality was missing in all aspects - be it staff behaviour, owner's approach or clean rooms and hygiene, amenities basic of a hotel standard - ALL MISSING!

We used services of this hotel in March 2025. Had booked room/s in this hotel through Agoda. Number displayed on Agoda's site did not work. Some R&D brought up a telephone number through which number of owner was obtained. When we reached there, displayed distance of 500m from station to hotel made it look like 1.5km with walking at inclined level and uphill. Next to greet was apathetic staff and room given was 201 with bathroom having a geyser body only (no element and no connection with water pipes, photograph shared). Owner was professional enough to charge 20 rupees for mineral water which we had to considering poor level of cleanliness and maintenance would not convince us to drink other water they would give and risk the tour. Professionalism was missing when it came to amenities and cleanliness. A torn bath towel, broken handle on inner side of the washroom door, a small soap to bath or wash hands after toilet (as you wish) would speak alot. Seems all they want is money without providing services. Owner was argumentative not to mention. Total lack of hospitality!

Never ever come to this hotel. The photos are just a scam for visitors. The rooms are not well furnished, toilets are unclean and the rooms are in a miserable condition. This is not suitable for even one night stay. Not recommended at all. Worst experience ever.

Very bad. Was greeted by faecalia from previous guests swimming around in the toilet. Dust everywhere, staff rude and impolite. To add ridicule to insult the pompous designation 'villa' and the photos are completely misleading. Whatever you do, don't stay here: there are many other cheap hostels in the surroundings.

We booked through Goibibo. As per mentioned phone numbers (2 numbers) we tried to call more than 15 times every time it was getting disconnected or saying please check the number and dial. Then after we called Goibibo customer care, there they gave us a number we called the property, a person from the property gave reason is that "both the phones are dead. We took the phones for repairing." Is it expected from a property owner as it's a season, people come across the country but we will come with an uncertainty. Room is ok but not the washroom( Handshower is broken).

Hotel is not the same as the profile picture. Ha Ha... The rooms are smelly, not clean and priced high, there is no restaurant in hotel and for any food you have to go outside the hotel. They provide tea that too of bad quality. There is no dedicated parking vehicle has to be parked on road outside the hotel if space is there. Toilets are not clean, bed linen is not clean and smelly. AC are old so cooling is very slow and power blackout is frequent. The hotel is near the railway station, but auto /taxi fare is exorbitant

Nice and convenient location for Rail passengers as it is within 500meters from the Kalka Railway stations. The road is straight and has no complexity. It is just the opposite of the Civil hospital. The room is good with a wide bed for 3 persons. Ac is there for comfortability. The bathroom is clean and good. The service staff were very attentive.
