HOTEL AMBER

Overall good. Very near to Kalka railway station.

Very close (2-3 minute walk) from Kalka railway station. That is the only good thing about this hotel. The staff were rude, slow and unhelpful. Rooms were barely clean, very worn out, stained bedding, freezing cold and very loud. Windows don't appear to actually shut properly so sounds like you are in the street with the fighting dogs, shouting me & tuk tuk engines. "Deluxe" (as our rooms were described) is hilarious!||We also arranged a taxi through the hotel to pick us up from Chandigarh (rip off) and the taxi driver tried to take us to a different hotel ("same-same"). Not what you expect when it's booked through the hotel in the first place.||Having stayed in 15+ different hotels in India, this ranks in the bottom 2. Even considering the cheap price tag, this place is very poor.

The room was very basic and they kept turning the WiFi off, near the station which is handy. The staff aren't great and don't pay more than 900 rupees for a room. We did have a nice lizard in our room though.

Very reasonable budget price as this stay is for my transit to Shimla by train on the next day The room is just simple basic but for me the balcony is made my day. The hotel is just few minutes walk from the railway station.

The hotel is not good for stay. Yes if you are traveling and you need to stay at night at Kalka due to break journey then only you should choose this hotel. Rooms are not cleaned but ok for a single night stay. Hot water available but every time you need to request to reception. Intercom is not present so you have to walk down to reception for every request. ||||Foods are not available in this hotel. Don't take any advice from them specially about food. They will take you to a Dhaba and the Dhaba will charge you after adding the commission for the hotel. If you want to take food in Kalka then you will find lot of options near to this hotel. ||||Location wise the hotel is placed very near to the station. you can find 2 church very near to this hotel.

this hotel is good enough to provide nearly all the facilities in just a reasonable cost.we stayed their for a night. And the Hotel staff is quite helpful . they even provide tea, coffee, mineral water, So we didn't had to run for all these things to the market. They even provide good food their. they also have another hotel Aanchal,and they too have their hotels in chandigarh. Santosh .k.Jain 9416070864.

If you are finding a hotel to stay at night near railway station - it is OK. Please take AC room.||You have to go out to eat. You can get Tea in room. Staff is helpful.||Location is good as it is very near to Kalka railway station. There are few stairs to climb.

You can even find a mouse in your bed. Public toilets are also available here. Please don't come if you want to sleep
