Nice art deco palace with rooms in old decoration and old fourniture and bathroom. Authentic experience with very kind person at diner and visit of the the real palace. Website is misleading. At the time we were there the swimming pool was empty. There was no possibility of horse riding at the hotel as stated on the website. Village tours, visit to pottery, yoga ashram, temple visit or music performances not present. We paid cash. Overpriced.

This really a Royal Oasis. Wonderfull place where we feel like a Maharaja. Very friendly welcoming and very good service. Dinner was also perfect. Rooms are really spacious, clean and comfortable. A place to experiment absolutely once in your life.
There were only the two of us staying for two nights and given a private tour of the Maharajah's former palace damage by the earthquake in 2001. The Royal Oasis has the most complete Art Deco furnishings and internal features. The tour of this property included the remarkable indoor swimming pool complete with diving boards and a lovely and impressive step well.||The food was good and authentic. We would be happy to return.
Royal Oasis was fabulous to stay for one or two nights. Decor is Art Deco like stepping back in time , rooms are large with huge bathrooms (no plug for the bath though). The young men running the place are helpful and attentive. Arranging a car and driver was easy at Royal Oasis. Food was excellent , breakfast and dinner. Visiting the Royal Palace, was possible for guests only . Swimming Pool in a detached building ,also Art Deco, and Detached Stepwell also fabulous to see. The only disappointment was in paying the bill . Credit card payment not possible (although this accommodation was chosen because of credit card option )We were not the only ones to find this a great problem. Cash it seams is their prefered payment . Messed up our whole cash flow for the rest of our holiday.
We visited this historical place in the first week of October and I must say that it's worth a visit again as it's absolutely charming and unique. It's located in a beautiful, green and serene location nearby a river which makes it even more appealing with peacocks freely roaming the grounds. We had the privilege to pick the rooms of our choice as the place wasn't fully booked then and the rooms were very spacious, clean and had old world charm. This old property houses some lovely vintage furniture and other antiquities and also has a beautiful step-well which cannot be missed. Staff at the hotel were very cooperative and assisted us well at all times and also ensured a smooth check in and check out process in the absence of their Manager who was on a short leave. Our brief interaction with the Manager before the visit was nice and she is thoroughly professional and responsive. Another aspect about our stay that is totally unforgettable was freshly cooked meals including the breakfast that were super delicious followed by a yummy dessert!!||||On the whole, we had a great experience and would love to return to this cozy and peaceful heritage property soon.
The hotel was in an old summer palace, it had good wi-fi and the staff were good. BUT, it was not as described in booking .com or heritage hotels of India. It did not have a Multi-cuisine restaurant or a buffet, but a set meal that was ok but not what we had expected and rather expensive. We were to stay 3 nights but it was so not what we expected we left after1 and the price was very high for the quality of the hotel.||I would not recommend this as a good place to stay.
We stayed at the Royal Oasis for one night to break our journey from Somnath to Bhuj. The booking was easy to make from the UK using the Royal Oasis website. There was an immediate response by email from Yogini Kumari. No deposit or card number was required. I sent further messages informing of arrival time and asking for a car to be arranged to take us to Morbi Bus Stand to continue our journey. These arrangements worked perfectly. ||We were accommodated in the American Suite which is large, clean and beautifully furnished. On arrival the staff gave us a tour of the site including the swimming pool and step well. The staff cooked an excellent meal for us. ||As we were leaving early in the morning we asked to pay the previous evening. The staff tried several times to use the card payment machine. We provided four different Visa and Mastercards all of which worked at other places in Gujarat but would not work here. The staff enabled me to speak to the manager by phone as she was on holiday. Eventually it was agreed we could pay with sterling cash but no receipt was provided. We were told that other guests' cards had worked but later on our trip we met other travellers who had experienced the same problem.
The Royal Oasis is a time warp. Built in 1935 it is an Art Deco masterpiece that should be in the V&A museum in London. If you have any interest in design then this is a fabulous place to stay. We were the only guests and it felt like we were on a film-set. Nothing has changed in 85 years and it's lovingly maintained by the staff. A swim in the 'period' pool and a visit to the on-site stepwell are a must. You also get a complimentary tour of the maharaja's palace 2km away.
