Hotel Woodland Somnath

The staff is very polite and the rooms are cosy. The location is also good, close to the railway station, the hotel's restaurant has great food although they don't have complimentary breakfast buffet. Cleanliness can be improved a lot though, doormats must be replaced. Water in the bathroom and everywhere is salty, not sure whether it was at the hotel only or everywhere. A nice place to stay overall.

We were to attend a wedding in Veraval and needed a place to stay and dress during the daytime.We reached Veraval around ten am and saw a couple of hotels which we did not like. Then we saw Hotel Woodland. It is on the main road with parking available. The rooms are a bit small but were reasonably clean and good price value for money. The bathroom was also clean but local water is salty so there is a layer of salt on all taps . The AC and WIFI were working fine. The LCD TV worked fine but did not have many channels .The room size is a bit small and there are no windows as the whole hotel has a glass facade .The staff is friendly and helpful. Room service provided good coffee. There is no restaurant. Overall good value for money and ideal for business travelers. They also have OYO rooms.

Woodland is the best hotel in town. The service is extraordinary and comfort like your own home makes it unique. Good night sleep is Important when you travel which you will get it at woodland along with all other facilities they provide. Rooms are very clean and specious with freshness of environment. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I am sure you will too.

The hotel is very clean and good. Finally there is really a good place to stay in at Veraval. The rooms have good interiors. The hotel is location just opposite ABNL, which is an added advantage for business travelers. Staff is good and helpful. ||For a business trip it is definitely recommended that too for single occupancy as rooms are compact. Not suitable for family or more than 2 persons.

I chose this hotel as per recommendation from fellow travelers in Tripadvisor (as I always do). But I am disappointed after staying here. There are some good sides of the hotel which I found matching from previous reviews. E.g., cleanliness, ample parking place, service and courtesy of hotel staff etc.||I am listing the points I didn't find in earlier reviews. Hope these will help future travelers to plan accordingly.||- Rooms are extremely small. I stayed in Royal A/c room. While booking, I was told that this room is good enough for 3 people. After checking in, I found there is almost no walking space beyond the DOUBLE bed cot. Hotel staff said they will lay extra mattress on the floor and that's how they do for other guests. But we refused.||- Rooms are good for single occupancy on business travel just for 1 night stay, not suitable for family stay.||- The hotel is located in a awkward place, neither in Veraval town nor close to the Somnath temple. Hence, staying with family is difficult - neither you can stay long in a cramped room nor you can go around - difficult for kids to spend time.||- Hotel doesn't have a canteen of its own. There are not good food options in nearby locations either. Though hotel arranges food from outside on request, but there are not many options. I would recommend to have food either from temple location or from Veraval town.||I would recommend not to plan for family stay in this hotel.

Services are very poor. Hot water was not available in the bathrooms. Take alot of time in dining food. Made us very disappointed. Doesn't matter if you complain to manager. What they have is only arguments against your complaint. No apologies for your complaint. Worst hotel I ever visited.

Decent place to dine out. Pretty reasonable rates too. Good one to bring family, kids and friends. Good choices for food available. Situated on main road, so easy to spot from driving. Worth giving a try

Rooms were pretty decent and clean. Good and prompt service.||Overall excellent and pleasant stay.||||The only difficulty was that its a little far from the main town and finding an auto was difficult and so was finding any place to eat nearby as the hotel doesn't have any arrangement for food except bread jam/butter.||||Decent stay at this place and great/friendly staff!
