Hotel Royal Palace

This hotel is right next to the highway, but surprisingly, it's very quiet and free from noisy traffic. The rooms are nice and well taken care of by the friendly staff. They were really helpful during my stay. There are two restaurants in the same building, and they're okay. One important thing to note is that if you need to leave early in the morning for a flight, the hotel staff can arrange a ride to Dumad Chokdi to catch a taxi or auto because Uber and Ola don't operate reliably in the area (my colleague and I found this out).

Overall a happy stay. Room well maintained. Bathroom tap was delicate and was coming out from place while being used, even water force was low though washbasin area was good. So, bathroom was a bit no for me, rest all good. Parking facility is available.

Okay place for nights halt. As common on highway hotels the bedsheets were stained. We carry our own so no worries. Bathroom was clean though some broken fixtures which should be replaced. We had called before reaching to check availability and asked the price. Though when we reached and it was time to pay we were asked for a higher amount. Only after a bit of 'discussion' did the receptionist agree for the initial price

Worst experience...we were travelling from mumbai to ahmedabad so we were tired so we stayed there and when we checked inn My wife asked them to change the bedsheet that it is dirty the guy is saying find some other hotel ""' Dusri dhundlo yaha to esi hi hogi and then after arguing he changed and then the manager and receptionist are also the same very worst talking rudely behavior no adjustment and worst and the room has cockroach and the bad smell and the ac was not working properly worst experience.. No soap nothing provided... By them... Nothing and they charge high which shows on internet its low but when you visit they rudely say no

The strong point of this property is the location which is almost bang on the NH-8 at Vadodara and is convenient for stopover to/from mumbai to the Northern states. The rooms are well priced and ample parking is available. The problem with the place is the bathrooms. We had booked two adjoining rooms and both places had bathrooms with broken parts inside. The flush of both of them were getting stuck and had to be manually pulled hard to ensure the flush stops. With such water scarcity everywhere its appalling the attitude some have towards water wastage. The rooms are good but the bathrooms were far from that.

Booked a night for transit stay. It's on the Ahmedabad mumbai highway or the mumbai Ahmedabad highway rather coz if you are travelling from guj to mumbai you will have to take a 2 km detour. The localities would drive the opposite way coz they find it easier to crash with someone . Reception was good. The room boy insisted that he wants tip, paid him :) linens were found to be dirty and when informed , they promptly changed it . Bathroom was found to be used by some one as could see some shoe marks . Might be maintenance man or some random guest or staff who bother to use the bathroom . No restaurant . Had to order from outside . Reasonable price and taste. However took about 2 hrs to reach . He was excused as it was post Diwali weekend and his staff were on leave . Rooms had small 5 feet bed , so my .7 feet was hanging outside . For my wife it was really a queens bed . Sleep quality was bad as could hear the noise of the trucks on the highway . System of Morning breakfast was pathetic . Me and wife dressed up to have buffet breakfast and the reception guy informs that it would be served in room . So I ordered that and am waiting . Atrocious, would have skipped it . If you can compromise and don't think too much you can stay . Also Very untrained staff . The boy even entered once to room without even knocking . Lucky me and wife were discussing about the prevailing diesel prices and how it's affecting the global market :) a memorable experience.

Very nice hotel... comfortable stay... good location... good service

A very good budget hotel on highway. Rooms are sufficiently specious, well mentained, neat, clean and up to date. Rates are fair. 24 hours hot water is available. Open parking space available. Tea is complementary. Definately recommended.
