TORAN HOTEL , VADNAGAR

This is a newly built government tourism hotel and restaurant. While I haven't seen the rooms and can't comment on them, I did visit the restaurant. The design and setup of the restaurant are quite basic and locally styled. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning available for regular visitors--only VVIP guests have access to AC seating, which is disappointing, especially in hot weather. On the positive side, the food is excellent. For just 140, they serve a generous meal that includes 2 vegetable dishes, 1 sweet, 4 large rotis, and dal-rice. It's great value for money. However, cleanliness is a major concern. The dining area and tables are not well-maintained or properly cleaned, which takes away from the overall experience. Improving hygiene and providing better seating facilities would make this place much more welcoming for all visitors.

Visited restaurant for the lunch but the lunch thali was not so good and tasty.

It was very Good experience staying here in kiirtii tornn hotel. It's nice vegetarian food cooked here and served fresh and hot. Rooms are good and maintained. Ambiance is good and surrounded with greenery. Better experience in GTDC hotel in Vadnagar. Nice hospitality.

Amazing food quality with best natural view. Room and service perfectly managed. I 100% reffer Toran for Staty in Vadnagar and explore surrounding palce , lile Sarmistha talav , taranga hill, hatkeshwar mhadev temple

Available space is good but services are very bad. Room service is zero and any staff is not available for room service. Not provide towels in the bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay here. This is an ideal jumping-off point to cover the UNESCO site Rani ki Vav (65-odd km) as well as the 2 tentative UNESCO sites, Modhera Sun temple (also around 65 km) and Vadnagar. Also woman traveller-friendly. The manager was extremely helpful and kind and personally arranged for our internal transport throughout. The rooms are unbelievably spacious and clean -the bedsheets and towels were irreprochable and the bathrooms were squeaky clean. The staff is very responsive and any small glitches (like when the MCB tripped), were fixed within 10 minutes of calling the reception. The cafeteria does a nice breakfast - the coffee was excellent, even by South Indian filter coffee standards and the theplas and sandwiches were very good as well. Lunch thalis were a disappointment, though again, the chapatis were thin and soft and freshly made. The aloo parathas were epic, served with plenty of thick, nice dahi. The burgers were really nice too. A lot of menu items were unavailable. The exterior is pretty and makes a good background for photos, the premises are neat and green. I particularly enjoyed sitting in the lawns, where tables and chairs are set out so one can enjoy one's morning cuppa. Small charcoal burners were there to ward off the winter cold after dark, one of the many thoughtful touches here. I'd come back.

Less known gem of a place to relax, unwind and visit Ranikivav, Modhera Sun Temple and Torans at Vadnagar. Contact Mr Harish Barad , Manager at Toran Hotel for all your transport n/ tourism needs. Reaching Vadnagar by train ex Ahmedabad by Valsad superfast AC chair car is recommended or hire a cab which is quite expensive being one-way. The best part is that the locals go out of the way to help you- you only need to ask. The hospitality of the local folk is mind blogging and the auto/ cab drivers and roadside decent restaurants never cheat you and believe in value for money. In fact they go the extra mile to make you feel at home. Toran Hotel being a PPP is not advertised on Gujrat Tourism. It has sprawling lawns, a quiet natural environment and responsive staff all for a very reasonable price. The in-house restaurant food is average but you can choose what you want My family came here for a break from the hectic city life and to visit the UNESCO sites.We went back fully refreshed. An ideal 2 to 3 day holiday is assured at Toran Hotel. Go for it.
