Room was nice and clean. Good shower pressure. Comfortable bed . Service was excellent. Very honest staff . I accidentally left money in the room after checkout and they contacted me to return the funds . Thanks again !

The room was absolutely gorgeous--everything was spotless, and it had a really stylish, modern vibe. It had everything I needed, plus a few extra touches that made it feel extra special. The bed was so comfy, and the view from the window was amazing

One of the best dining spots in Surat Table 101 is an amazing place to give with your friends & family for dinner or even at sunset. Their seating system is so good, you can access the lawn and enjoy sumptuous food The quality of food is simply superb & the variety in buffet is amazing Do visit this place & try their buffet

The head chef asked me for a positive review. In my opinion, reviews are for things that are better or worse than expected. In this sense, I cannot fulfill this request. However, I can certainly give a review for the restaurant. A general Marriott policy is that no plastic water bottles are used anywhere in the hotel. I have no problem drinking water from reused gas cylinders, but one should expect them to be properly cleaned before each refill. Instead, today I had a full bottle on the table with food residue on the outside. This suggests that none of the bottles provided on the tables had been cleaned. I also noticed that most of the ceramic plates provided have worn-through glaze. This could serve as a breeding ground for bacteria. The level of hygiene expected in a 5* hotel is therefore questionable.

I am confident that there are much better options available in Surat than this particular hotel. While the staff members are friendly and exhibit professionalism, the overall service provided is satisfactory. However, having stayed at this establishment for over 30 years, dating back to its time as the Taj, I have noticed that the rooms have remained largely unchanged, save for a fresh coat of paint. During my recent visit, I found the food in the restaurant to be subpar, and the Punjabi-style chicken curry I ordered for in-room dining was particularly disappointing. The hotel has always been somewhat secluded, which may not appeal to all guests. Despite my frequent visits to this hotel, I believe it may be time for a change. The bathrooms are outdated and have a yellowish tint, while the chrome fittings do not meet the standards one would expect from a 5-star establishment. The pillows provided are below the standard expected in a hotel, being only about 3 inches thick. In conclusion, the rooms and the quality of the restaurant's food do not align with the expectations of a 5-star hotel. It may be worth exploring other accommodations in the area for a more satisfying experience.

Harrowing Experience at Marriott Surat. Went there with my Wife and Kids (Age 4 months & other 4 yrs). The electricity in the room kept switching off every minutes. Complained 4 times to the hotel staff. No one turned up. Slept entire night without electricity. Next morning technician came and made a setting that electricity is ON without the room card. Narrated the entire episode to the Hotel Manager and he was shocked. Waived off my in-room F & B bills. But it was nothing in comparison to the experience me & my family went through. Never visiting this hotel again.

The rooms where we were staying seems to have been recently renovated. They were looking good and well maintained. Rooms do require some sound insulation. The food at Table 101 restaurant was excellent. Service was very good. The staff behaviour was excellent, cordial, cooperative. Would recommend this hotel at Surat anytime.
