Bell Guest House

Interesting place to stay, great history, hot water in short supply, but the room was spacious, food amazing, it was a bit noisy at night during the wedding season but good early plugs work well.

Loved the stay at Bell House, It's a vintage property, that has all the old furniture and antique team from old times. The location of the place is beautifully surrounded by greenery, and birds like , and parrots all over the place. I enjoyed it a lot.

We recently took a group pf friends to Bell Guest House for a two night stay. As we had not stayed here before we were not sure what to expect. Well - we wished we had followed Yuvraj Somrraj Singh's recommendations to stay longer. We could have easily spent another few days in this delightful setting with Somrraj's warm extended family. Yes the guest house is old but it is absolutely charming! The food is fantastic and the activities on offer - from nearby temples and monuments to craft villages that lie off the beaten track - are very special. We had a fantastic local guide and one night we enjoyed a village dinner at his home. We also enjoyed a delicious royal dinner at the guesthouse with the royal family. We were all sad when it was time to leave - and next time we will definitely stay longer. For a taste of something quite different this place is highly recommended.

We were scheduled for one night but stayed two nights as we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Yuvraj Somraaj Singh, son of the local ruler, runs this property. There are ten rooms, of which 6 are for guests. The cottage is in 24 acres of grounds. Do not expect 5 star comfort as this is his house with him in residence. It is a place to enjoy, relax and then go with his retainer to see local handicrafts like Tangiliya weaving which is now restricted to just a few families. Absolutely exquisite work. You can also see ikat or patola weaving, beadwork etc. All requiring infinite patience to make. Going into the village itself seeing these workers in their own surroundings, true village environment, was a treat in itself. |The rates can be CP or full board. We chose latter. Raju the cook, is excellent. He prepared great food at each meal. |The rooms are upstairs. We had the three rooms, mine was last with a high towering roof and a balcony overlooking the garden. |In your free time, you can walk in the grounds or just reminisce with Yuvraj.

Accessible from Ahmedabad (less than 2 hours and nice road) and also a good option to have a 2 days stay on the way to Rajkot. A peaceful and friendly place and the Yuvraj is a very friendly and caring person, and the staff are also very nice and caring. The property is a beautiful heritage building surrounded by fields and trees with natural beauty peacocks, birds....The hidden secret is the variety of the food served and the taste; its amazing mention your preference Indian, Western, Chinese its ready in style and taste. Also the nearby hidden gems like the weaving villages and other artisans is worth visiting.

Great Heritage house for a relaxing stay. Food is excellent and the service is perfect. We enjoyed our two days in Salya very much wandering around the town and visiting the nice big temple and old palace in the heart of Sayla. Don't miss a chance to stay at this great old hotel. Please look after this building for the future. Needs some upkeep.

Only recommended to stay here as a break on the road. The Maharaja owner is charming and the place has seen better times. We had a "deluxe" room with no deluxe, hard bed, stained bed sheet, dusty floor and although it is 200 meters away you can hear the main road at night, The food was OK. We walked around town which is not recommended.

Old bell Guest house was old but very strong structure. It was surrounded bu greener and nature. Here everyone feel royal stay. Every thing was above exception. Garden was excellent and well maintained. Here you can also took memorable shots.
