GIR VIHAR RESORT

The location of this property is excellent. Right on the main road and about 3kms from the lion safari booking office. Check in was poor, the manager at front desk was very rude to begin with, calmed down after some time. We were the only guests at the resort when we checked in, so we had a choice of rooms. Rooms are okay, mattresses are poor though. Washrooms are decent but lack proper ventilation. Room service average at best. Food is served in buffet at the dining area. we found the food and the wait staff quite good. Only veg food is served here, they will look at you with questioning eyes if you mention non-veg.|Got this property at a decent price. It can be considered for a stay, but check the rooms first before you check in, based on reviews i have just read here.|Trip type

Wonderful experience at gir vihar. We did a last min booking, the owner was kind enough to cater to all our requests. The resort has a such a great ambience and the highlight was the dhamaal dance by the siddis which is performed in evening.

Worst experience ever with the resort. Rooms and washrooms are so bad in condition. Do not visit this place. Find other better options around the place. Price is much higher, whereas service is very low. After asking for cleaning up the washroom, staff never showed up. They are giving excuses instead. So that I felt very disrespectful.

We feels more comfort than home... Atmosphere is awesome...Had a great relaxation... Their food is yummy... No extra charge for waterbottle even after checkout... Seriously Hats off...

Our stay at Gir Vihar Resort was an absolute nightmare. The entire resort was poorly maintained, with dirty washrooms exhibiting stains of potty and gutka. The toilet pots were not cleaned properly, a basic necessity that should be met at all times.|The linens and pillows were stained and smelled strongly of mildew. The provided pots and utensils were filthy, covered in food residue.|The service was appalling. The receptionist was incredibly rude and constantly had gutka/pan in his mouth. The owner exhibited a "kanjoos" (miserly) and money-minded attitude. Laundry services were practically nonexistent.|Food options were extremely limited, with only buffet options available for lunch and dinner. No a la carte menu was offered.|The resort seemed to prioritize foreign guests, displaying blatant bias towards them. The "tribal dance" program advertised on their website was a rare occurrence, and even when it did happen, the tribal performers would demand money from guests. In my case, they demanded Rs. 500 for a shoulder ride.|To add insult to injury, the resort management refused to entertain our complaints, even those submitted through MakeMyTrip.|I strongly advise anyone considering this resort to look elsewhere. The resort was very nice and located at the jungle. The place was so calming and peaceful. The food was just awesome. All rthe staff members were so humble and helpful. Enjoyed our stay at gir vihar. There were so much to do. The bicycle ride was free of cost and if you like to swim then they have nice swimming pool. Even they have nice garden and kids play area. Five on five for the facilities and hospitality.

I had high expectations for this so-called 4-star resort, but my experience was a complete disappointment. The food quality was absolutely terrible - bland, cold, and tasteless. It was nowhere near what I'd expect from a resort at this price point. On top of that, the staff were misleading in their descriptions of the facilities and services. What was advertised was far from reality. The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty, with a foul smell and visibly uncleaned areas. It was appalling to see such a lack of hygiene in a resort claiming to be 4-star. The management clearly doesn't care about guest satisfaction or maintaining basic standards. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable stay. The exterior ambience of the property was green and great but washrooms were completely dirty, food was very spicy and oily ...overall rooms are with zero maintenance... this property needs proper maintainance and overpriced and expensive
