Had an awesome experience staying here. It's a homestay, not a hotel. Property has an old-world charm, antique furnitures and unique feel to it. It also offers modern amenities. The room was huge and so was the bathroom. Room and bathroom were clean and spotless. Property is surrounded by lawn and greenery. The family/owners stay in the same property. Staff and family were super-friendly. They offer tasty home-made food. Overall, had a great experience staying there (I'm interested in historic buildings and structures). Will definitely visit again.

It is a historic location, and the palace is amazing. The entire palace is spotless and well-kept, and every room is situated on a sizable ground. I went there to attend my brother's wedding. My overall experience has been excellent.
So first of all I want to tell all of you that its not a hotel, its a proper home where owner's family lives. As we entered ( afternoon ) they offered us very tasty home made food in a very big dining area but the chairs were very dirty. Now lets talk about room... We paid 5000/- for 1 night it was not at all worth. It was horrible, never cleaned and dusted. Bathroom was also very bad. There was no provision for hot water and buckets were also very dirty. Many times birds used to enter in bathroom as there was big broken window. And even commode was leaking as it was cracked. There was no exhaust also. The beds were good but the mattress, bedsheets and blankets were super dusty. They were never cleaned. Seats were also very dusty. In room there was no dustbin and in bathroom very old napkin was hanging which was smelling very bad. There was single mirror in the whole room which was present in bathroom and that was also very dirty. In room there were around 6 lights but only 2 were working and half of the day there was no electricity. But I have to say that food over there was very nice as it was completely home made even sweets. And the biggest point is that they will serve you unlimited food but keep note that you have to pay for food externally but its really really cheap. (~300 per head). But as I told you earlier that it is not a hotel and its a home so keep in mind that there is no restaurant also. You will not get food on your time, you have to eat according to their time and you can ask them what is in the menu for the day. When the food is ready, they will inform you. I don't know about room service. Now let's talk about property :- As the name says its a palace and yes, it is. Outside, there is a very beautiful garden, well maintained. There are very unique and beautiful flowers. There are swing and benches which I liked very much. There are some ducks also in the garden but in night they bring there ducks inside there home and they make terrible noise all night. The staff (whole family) is very kind and helpful. I would like to inform you that if you are going to stay in this palace, make sure that you carry enough cash because they don't accept any cards. I request you to see all my photos for better understanding.
Wonderful experience in umaid palace. The room was uge with a big bathroom and a big balcony, and all is very clean. The food is excellent. The owner and the staff welcomed us like kings and was very helpfull and arrangefull. The architectural style is impressive. the garden is well maintained and has very old trees. The place is also near by the forest department and statue of unity. Lot of things to visit nearby. I highly recommend it.
Well a good Homestay near statue of unity. It's in Rajpipla. Rooms Are re big and nice Friendly care taker and amazing break fast. Homely food I would say . I felt it's bit overpriced if you are comparing with any hotels like 3 star. But I almost forgot about is after the amazing service and support by the staff and lovely breakfast .. They don't have any board placed , well at lest not in English or Hindi . Took a hard time to find the place in the night.
The palace is only good to look at from the outside. The toilet and bathroom are very unsanitary. The room was taken as needed. But no one would take such a bad room even in 500 rs
One of the Best Palace Hotel to stay near Statue of Unity. Amazing Palace Interiors and a must experience place. Totally worth for the amount spent. Friendly Staff and the extremely helpful Owner.
