It's a 50 year old hotel right by the beach... The hotel and rooms are well designed. I would really like to appreciate the architect or designer who have designed the rooms and the hotel. Now the room have a vintage feel to it... So people who love that vibe will really love it... Also has got good beach view... And just few steps away from the beach...

Strongly i don't recommend it. Please read this.We had not choice as everyother hotel in this city was full on that day and we need a place to stay with family. We took 3 rooms all of them were really dirty and even furniture had dust on it. Doors are making creaking sound.towels were smelling bed.rooms were not cleaned after the previous customer used it,so our rooms were having used bathroom. Pillow covers were dirty spotted torned. Bedsheets were spotted. No one was there to receive our bags we carried it by ourselves on first floor. It seems really haunted at night. And we paid 1500 per room which was not even worth but we didnot have any choice.

This hotel is not at all good.I will not recommend this hotel if you want to have a pleasure stay. We actually had no other option left hence had to book this hotel for one night hault and our ev car charging. There is no charge station available but the owner helped us with the power point and we had to purchase the long wire and 3 pin plug so that we can charge our ev car. But after waking up in the morning we found that the power point got short circuit and the owner gave us another power point. So overall we wasted the whole night without charging our car and had to slow charge in the morning for 3hrs more so that we can travel at least to our next stop.

If you find yourself in Porbander, you are likely aware that hotel options are limited. There are a few places in town, and a couple of places further out. The New Oceanic Hotel is the only hotel on the oceanfront, which is a mixed blessing as the water is very polluted. We saw locals swimming every morning, but you will not want to. The hotel is some distance from town, so you will need to have a car or hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw for transportation. The distance from town puts you away from the noise and activity, and the hotel courtyard can be quite peaceful in the evening. The hotel has an office and restaurant on the first floor, where a wide porch faces the ocean, and the rooms on the second floor in a U-shape surrounding a courtyard. The rooms are basic - a wardrobe, a television with local channels, an air conditioner, a functional bathroom, and in my room a row of windows overlooking the shore. The beds are thin mattresses on wooden frames, but if you like a firm mattress they are comfortable. The shower, unlike many of our hotels in India, did produce some hot water. There was the usual assortment of buckets for washing and rinsing and catching various leaks. The hotel itself is illustrative of the dichotomy that is India - as intriguing as it is infuriating. Packs of stray dogs roam the beach, for example, and square off to challenge each other in front of the hotel late at night. I don't think anyone gets hurt, but there is a lot of barking and growling. These same dogs may wander during the day into the hotel courtyard (gated at night) where they "do their business" where they please. The "business" might not be cleaned for days, even if it is right in front of the door to your room. On the other hand, an attendant delivers a nice little tray to your room each morning with a small pot of hot tea and cream and sugar - stepping, each day, over the "business" still sitting outside your door. You will get used to things like this in India. There is a restaurant on-site at the New Oceanic Hotel. Though we ate only breakfast there it was simple but delicious, with a combination of western-style eggs and toast, and Indian curried potatoes and poori bread. There are (somewhat) more modern places to stay in town, but I came to like the New Oceanic Hotel, in its own funky, contradictory way. If you are interested in wildlife, be sure to make a trip to the marshes outside of town. Though some are polluted, those that are not carry an amazing variety of bird life. Painted storks, Demoiselle cranes and both species of Old World flamingoes all on a single body of water is an incredible sight.

The hotel has a great view of the sea & 'chowpatti' beach. The a/c rooms we took were in good condition because they were new. But they still retained traces of the previous occupants. The towels had stains on them, when asked to change they brought us more stained towels & told us to make do with them. A request to clean the room went unheeded. The management seemed to run the hotel because it existed, very indifferent service and casual approach.

Recently been to this Hotel for a night. Its very close to Chowpaty. But very old hotel. Nothing is new in this. All linens were spotted, water taps were broken, spoty and patchy bathrooms. Worst thing is that they don't have any food option. We had to take food from the hotel beside, Lords Eco Inn, which is far better that this old and rusty place. This is our worst experience in this whole troip or 6 days, where we went across many places in Gujarat, stayed in many hotels. Primary reason we choose this hotel due to its location. But i felt that was my mistake. Will not recommend this hotel to any other.
