Hotel Shravak

This hotel is directly opposite the main bus stand in Palitana, the sign can be seen, however if you go to the first floor which looks like a disused reception area you may think it has gone but the actual hotel is another floor up look for a fish tank.|It is a reasonably priced standard 2 star Indian hotel. I got a very big room with a table and chairs,usual hard mattress and pillows, hot shower and reasonable WIFI. Staff were helpful, limited English spoken.I was allowed to leave my bag there for several hours after check out.Location is fine for shops and some food, great for buses, however I found this place very limited in terms of choices my limited to non- existent Gujerati did not help.

Worst ever hotel stays in my life it is worst than lodge and the manager or owner only hungry for money nothing else they charge money for small things

Believe it or not: i stayed in this guesthouse 12 years ago, in 2010. Then my mother got very sick and we needed urgent good medical treatment. The owner was very caring. He organised transport to mumbai, provided us food, blankets and pillows for our trip. Without his help, my mother would not have survived. I will never forget the caring, kindness and help of this man (and the Indians in general). Maybe the Manager of 2010 is still in charge and he reads this. I hope so, i prey for him and i hope he is doing well. Thank you so much again.

The hotel is located just in front of the bus station and has got huge sized rooms. But they are terribly dirty, and I'm far from new to India! Everything was dirty and the room had obviously not been cleaned (do they?). There were cigarettes' remains on the floor. The worst was by far the bathroom and toilette: horrific! The running water was brownish, and the toilette... oh my god, really disgusting! From the large window you can enjoy the wonderful view on the garbage waste. ||And as if it was not enough, if you check-out after 10am, they will ask to pay 500 roupies more. Which is clever because if you want to visit Shatrunjaya (even at sunrise time), you cannot be back before 10am!||It's reputed to be the best option in Palitana: I guess the other ones must be henhouses then! But they don't have to make efforts as they're the only option...

Cheap (450 rupees for double) and directly opposite bus stand which was very handy. Room has seen better days, flourescent light made continuous buzzing noise so we turned it off. Staff not particularly friendly, though they did allow us to checkout and leave our bags behind the desk while we went to the temples.||Not a choice for a long stay - but adequate for 1 or 2 nights while in town to look at the temples.

Lovely guest house. Perfect base to visit the Palitana Temples. Room was very comfortable - large, hot water, outside area, table and chairs. There also drinking water available, which is fantastic. The owner is friendly too.

Sometimes its nice to get off the beaten track. Sometimes nostalgia is good. ||||SOMETIMES its not.||||Basic, would be ok for a single male passing through but its nothing really.||||There is a better place 5 minutes to the left, i forget its name, on the beds as you leave the main road. doubles are big and cost 1100. i know its a lot, we booked the best room in th Sharavak at 600.||||we saved some money but for the average person, this place wouldnt do.||||Dirty||Dark||unreliable water supply||Dusity||Hard beds||Uninterested owner||||There are not many places in Palitana, but the one left of the bus station is good but pricey. this isnt that cheap for the "big best double" but a single room at 250 would get a single bye i guess.||||No wifi||No drinking water||no common area||||all in all, leave this place to the drifters

Being just across from the bus station and next to an extremely busy resturant you can expect more then your usual amount of noise. The staff are not friendly or helpful, I found them to be plain rude. The room its self is run down, dirty and the bathroom stinks(really bad). The bed is rock hard and the sheets and blankets dirty.
