I recently had the opportunity to stay at The Palm Resort in Mandvi, which was earlier known as City The Village Resort. Nestled close to the famous Vijay Vilas Palace and a short drive from the beach, the resort is an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat. I was genuinely impressed with the blend of modern comfort and traditional Kutchi elements throughout the property. As soon as I arrived, the vast open space and natural surroundings gave off a calming vibe. The resort is spread across a large area, dotted with beautiful cottages and walking paths lined with palm trees - true to its new name. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were courteous, although a bit slow at times. I stayed in one of their premium cottages, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-furnished. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the small porch area outside where I could sit and enjoy my morning tea. The bathroom was modern and had all the essentials, though hot water was slightly inconsistent at times. The resort has a swimming pool, which was unfortunately under maintenance during my stay, which was a bit disappointing since I had looked forward to a relaxing swim. They do offer some recreational activities like horseback riding for kids, and there's enough open space for evening walks or simply unwinding. The food at the in-house restaurant was a mixed bag. The vegetarian-only menu focuses mainly on Punjabi and Gujarati cuisine. While the dinner thali was flavorful and satisfying, breakfast was fairly limited in variety. If you're someone who enjoys a broad spread in the morning, this might not fully meet your expectations. Service at the restaurant also felt a bit uncoordinated - we had to remind them a couple of times about our order. Despite a few hiccups, the ambiance of the place makes up for a lot. During the evening, the lighting, cool breeze, and silence really created a tranquil environment - it's perfect for families or couples who want to escape city noise. Weddings and events seem to be a big part of what this resort caters to, given the huge open lawn and event spaces available. One thing I'd suggest to future visitors is to clarify all amenities before booking - including pool access and room type. Also, the resort can definitely improve on communication and overall service coordination. Overall, The Palm Resort in Mandvi offers a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. While it has some rough edges, especially in terms of service and food variety, the peaceful location, clean rooms, and greenery make it worth a visit - especially if you're in Mandvi to relax and explore nearby attractions like Mandvi Beach or Vijay Vilas Palace.

Don't go by seeing the photos. The food is ridiculous. red sauce paste is maggies instant pasta, main course don't have taste, pizza have cheese but have bad base, dal fry is sweet rice, jeera rice is homemade boiled rice. the service is worst. We have to tell them what to do.
The photos don't match the reality. The food is underwhelming, and the service is awful.
The pictures are deceiving. The food is disappointing, and the service is a struggle
Beautiful resort, huge, gigantic wellaintained property. Was near perfect experience except for once when the resaurant compromised on refusing to serve evening snacks insisting to avail only the ones prepared for a birthday party event menue.
I was here for dinner inside the restaurant. Good ambience with veg multi cuisine menu. Ordered mexican cottage cheese which was decent and tried their mixed veg kadai which was awesome. Overall a great experience with a good ambience for dinner. You find very few people on weekdays. The price in the menu where similar to 3 star hotels.
Good place as a restaurant. Wonderful spot for photography. Restaurant is comparatively hither in price but test is great and service is also good. All staff are friendly but manager's behaviour is rude. Welcome drink is missing. Swimming pool and rest rooms are also available. Overall good place.
Although it was a memorable stay, the same could have been more joyful if surroundings were properly maintained, food quality was truly excellent & quite satisfactory, room facilities were also satisfactory, bathroom lacked a stool which didn't arrive though asked for it twice, overall good experience...! Would like to visit &stay again to find improved amenities...!
