Hotel Platinum Junagadh

We stayed in Hotel Platinum for 2 days because we had to visit Girnar mountain for darshan at Guru Shikhar. The hotel is situated on the 4th floor of Platinum Plaza on Jayshree Road near Kalwa Chowk, a few minutes away from the railway station.||We checked in at 6 am 23rd April and were initially given Room Number 104, but had to shift to Room Number 110 because of an issue in the flush.||Our room was a double bed room with air-conditioning, a separate space for the wardrobe and changing clothes, The attached bathroom was ok but dirty in the corners and desperately needs renovation. Thankfully, everything was working but there wasn't hot water in the shower or the tap. The air-conditioning was working fine which was a big relief.||Till the time we checked out, our room wasn't cleaned even once. The checkout was super smooth: we just handed over the keys and that's it.||The USP of the hotel in my opinion is the location: Kalwa Chowk has restaurants, medical shops, petrol pumps, tea stalls, autorickshaw stand, snacks shops, sweet shops and many more facilities. Also, Girnar mountain is just 10 minutes away by autorickshaw, and rickshaws are available 24 hours. ||I'll definitely stay at Hotel Platinum next time I visit Junagadh, but I'll expect a cleaner bathroom and a bit more efficient housekeeping service.

Nice hotel to stay, I had gone with my family for junagadh trip. I saw many couples visiting this hotel during my 1 day stay.

Budget friendly hotel. Rooms are big, but they didn't maintain the property well. Floor wasn't clean, feet got dirty when walk in room and when you enter bathroom you may get slip. Management should take things seriously and check each room carefully. I gave same feedback to staff also. That is very good property, it can be first choice on visiters.

Basic facilities only, cleanliness was ok. Hot water available for limited time. Bathroom fittings were broken. If extra bed is added in the room then no space left to open door.

Best rooms in best price in the centre of Junagadh. Plus point, they have underground car parking place which is the most difficult task to find in this area. All the main city attractions are easily reachable from here. Food/snacks/tea-coffee available adjoining buildings. Overall a good experience. I didn't avail any special service so can not be judgemental for it so giving 3 star for that. It may be increased in my next visit.

Stayed here for 3 nights in December, in room 114. The hotel is located on the 4th floor of a business complex, but it's generally peaceful even on a week day. Access is via a lift. Although there are several lifts in the complex, only one is for the hotel. Upon checking in, the staff were surprised to see me as if they weren't expecting me at all. I had to show them my online booking and confirmation details, at which point they seemed to just accept that I had a booking. Generally, the staff are friendly and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the hotel is good including the room. The room was spacious with a double bed, a desk to work on, a wardrobe to store your stuff. The bed was fairly comfortable with a thin, but firm Asian style mattress. The bed was also an actual double bed which was a nice change from the two single beds pushed together variety. The sheets were a bit worn, but clean and the same can be said of the furnishings in the room. The bathroom really could do with some renovation and you could see some of the repair work on the tiles were not that great, more like patch up jobs. It's fine to use, clean and functional. There is Wifi throughout the hotel. From my room, the Wifi was easily accessible, but did not have internet connection. Most of the time, I just ended up using my own mobile internet. Overall, I had a comfortable stay and keep in mind that Hotel Platinum is a budget hotel and I thought the room itself was above average for the price I paid. I mean, I've paid for more in hostels in the bigger cities of India. It's a budget hotel and I expect things to be a little worn so long as everything is clean and functional. The bathroom was below par though, even by the standards of a budget hotel. 3.5 is probably a fairer rating, but 4 would be too much.
