Praveg Resort Dholavira

5/5 Stars! Tip: Do book a cab while staying here from Bhuj/Ahmedabad which can show you around. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Praveg Resort in Dholavira, and it was an absolute delight! The room was pristine, immaculately maintained, with all necessary provisions available. The food was delightful, with a variety of delicious options. Cultural programs and live music were organized by the resort too. It was a wonderful way to experience the local culture and unwind after a day of exploring. Speaking of which, the resort's proximity to the Harappan site (just 1.5 kms away). Worth a visit. A memorable highlight was Sunset point- 10 kms away - one of the best evenings I experienced in Gujarat. The staff at Praveg Resort were incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend!

Came here for a weekender to experience the Rann and Dholavira IVC site. The A-frame houses are beautifully designed and refreshing to return to after a long day with solid Wifi, good toiletries, immaculate housekeeping, and responsive staff. The location is an easy 15-minute walk to the ancient Dholavira site and the Rann Utsav, Gandhi nu Gaam, Kalo Dungar, etc. are about an hour away (you get to enjoy the Road to Heaven along the way!). ||So why four stars, you ask? The food. It was tasty with sufficient variety at each meal, but all of the dishes were far too spicy! I am glad I didn't bring my kiddos or they would have subsisted on rice and kulcha for three days. When you're the only game in town because of the remote location, you have to be able to cater to different tastes, and adding a couple non-spicy options to each meal would be such an easy fix. For now, those who prefer non-spicy food would do well to bring some cup soups and protein bars to ensure you don't go hungry. Otherwise, an incredible stay!

No doubt resort is beautiful but staff is not at all helpful. We were kind of stuck with our per for stay who is toy pet & comfortable in crate which means no trouble to resort property. Some rules can be mended in emergency & when your resort is almost vacant. Even after multiple requests, they denied stay as we really needed some good place to stay. We could have used our contacts to get in easily but these ppl are not worthy to waste our time. Thankfully another resort welcomed us happily seeing our situation. 0 star for staff especially Ashish goel Pls get some humanity

We recently stayed at Praveg Resort in Dholavira with my wife and our 7-year-old daughter, and it was a fantastic experience! The property itself is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and serenity. The design and ambiance of the resort really complement the natural beauty of the surrounding area,they say its inspired by harapan culture , making it an ideal getaway for families. The vegetarian food was excellent, with a variety of options that were not only delicious but also fresh. The staff was attentive to our preferences, which made dining a delightful experience. The location is one of the biggest highlights of this resort. Being so close to the historical sites of Dholavira and set in a tranquil environment, it provided a unique and enriching experience. Whether you're there for history or just to relax, the setting is ideal. The service was exceptional,they arrange tour of sunset point,Harapan site etc. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. Whether it was quick responses to requests or making sure our daughter felt welcome, their hospitality stood out. Overall, Praveg Resort in Dholavira is a wonderful place for a family vacation. We left with great memories and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and enriching stay in this historic region.

Exceptional Stay at Praveg Resort Dholavira We recently spent two wonderful nights at Praveg Resort Dholavira, and it was an experience to cherish. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The resort is beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with the serene and historic surroundings of Dholavira. Our cottage was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-appointed with all the modern amenities we could ask for. The attention to detail in the decor added a touch of luxury to our stay. The bed was comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights after our day-long excursions. The resort's restaurant served delicious meals with a variety of options that catered to all tastes. We particularly enjoyed the local cuisine, which was a delightful culinary journey. The staff was attentive and eager to accommodate our dietary preferences. One of the highlights of our stay was the tranquil ambiance of the resort. The lush greenery and well-maintained gardens provided a perfect backdrop for relaxation. This is one of the best resort I ever stayed. People here was very nice and friendly, they treat us very politely, i have also make a youtube video on the resort. Everything was so good there.

All good but communication related to activities and sightseeing needs to improve. The Resort bus often leaves for sightseeing without all guests as staff fails to communicate timings properly. It will be good to have a chart with the timings. Overall very good rooms, and folk dancers and singers do a good cultural engagement with guests.

The GOOD- resort is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. They would organise bonfires during cold winter nights which was great. The NOT SO GOOD- bath water is hard and hot water is a bit erratic. The BAD- Food. There is no room service and they r unnecessarily strict with timings of the meal buffets. For example, at 9.30 am they start clearing up breakfast which is a bit early given that you have come there to relax and may want to wake up late. Similarly dinner is cleared up by 9.30 pm. If you miss these meals too bad There are no restaurants near the place as it's really far from everywhere, so it's not like you can grab a bite somewhere else if u miss a meal. You won't even get a packet of chips near the place, forget dinner. And Food was average, repetitive and boring. Not like we expect gourmet stuff but there was no variety. Breakfast was very very average in taste and options. Food was spicy, which is a challenge when one travels with kids. Moreover they were very inflexible for everything. Standard answer was NO. We requested them to toast some sandwiches and they said NOT possible. Hope they improve the food bit. Rest is fine
