When it is about a hotel, hospitality matters a lot. The service of Mr. Joy at the ground floor (in house restaurant) was not satisfactory and this review is just because of your poor service. I definitely will not recommend anyone to arrange any event at this place if you want to maintain your relationships. Because one person like Mr. Joy can ruin your complete function and relationships with your relatives.

We stayed at the Cama on the Sabarmati riverfront, Amdavad for a night earlier this week.||||The reception and dining areas of the hotel have a comfortable feel to them while the spacious garden offers a nice retreat which makes one feel far far away from the hustle and bustle of the old city. ||||Talking of the old city, the Cama is an ideal location from which to explore the popular sights! Another convenience is that the international airport is only about 30 min away. ||||We had the river facing room which offered good views over towards the western part of the city across the river. The room was comfortable though the furnishings were a bit jaded and in need of a refresh. ||||The dining room and breakfast were a disappointment. While the options on offer were reasonable, the prevalence of stained tablecloths was off putting.||||That said, the staff were caring and courteous..

Staff was very courteous, helpful and supportive for any time . Best part is food was very delicious and service was amazing and quick. I would like to say thanks specially mr. I had a terrifying experience at Cama Hotel as a solo traveler. Late at night, a hotel staff member entered my room without knocking or making any noise. I noticed his reflection in the window glass and was completely shaken. When I called the front desk and asked them to check the CCTV footage, they casually told me it could only be checked in the morning and that I shouldn't worry because mine was the only occupied room on that floor--which only made things worse. Fearing for my safety, I requested to meet the General Manager, but the next morning, no one showed up. When I confronted the reception about it, instead of addressing my concerns, the staff rudely blamed me, saying it was my fault for keeping the door open and that anyone could enter if it was unlocked. It was only after multiple complaints that the General Manager finally met me, and shockingly, she wasn't even informed about what had happened. She did apologize, but the damage was already done. As a female solo traveler, I do not recommend this hotel. Safety is a joke here--anyone can enter your room at any time. Their service is terrible, and the front desk staff, especially Sagar, lacks basic professionalism and instead blames the guest instead of handling the situation properly. Stay away from this place if you value your safety. Dear Hotel Representative, Thank you for your response. I appreciate your concern, but I must clarify some points. Firstly, upon arrival, I explicitly informed Tony at the reception that my guy friend was with me. He was aware of this and didn't mention any restrictions on having guests in the room. Regarding the incident, I reiterate that it was traumatic and unacceptable. As I mentioned earlier, my stay was booked for three nights, and this incident occurred on the first night. I couldn't check out immediately due to your hotel's refund policy. I only met with the General Manager after repeatedly requesting a meeting to discuss the incident. She apologized and assured me that measures would be taken to prevent such incidents in the future. However, the experience had already left me shaken. My husband arrived the next day from Delhi, which is when I felt comfortable enough to continue my stay for the remaining two nights. Furthermore, I take issue with the staff's actions when they entered my room. As an ex-hotelier, I know that hotel staff cannot enter a room without knocking and announcing themselves, typically by saying "Housekeeping." However, your staff entered my room without permission and left quietly. This is a serious breach of hotel policies and guest privacy. Instead of asking me to clarify or justify my experience, I suggest you brief your staff on hotel policies and procedures, particularly regarding guest privacy and room entry protocols. This would be a more constructive approach to addressing the issue. Sincerely, Pooja

As you step into the hotel you can feel the great hospitality that awaits you. The hotel is a trip down memory lane where hotels were grand, open and Luxurious. There is warmth in the staff's attitude, Grandeur in the architecture and food for every palette. The rooms are large, breakfast spread is good and overall service makes you Happy. These kind of long withstanding hotels will be a reminder for others of what hospitality was and should be.

This hotel is in a good location for shopping and a bit of sight seeing. There seems to be no parking inside the hotel. The staff rarely smile and are very rules bound, unwilling to accommodate any request even slightly deviant from the requirement. We were on the MAP plan and since we had special dietary requirement, one of the managers had volunteered to send dinner to our room. However we thought we will go to the restaurant as it is easier but were disappointed with the cellar ambience. When we requested that the dinner may be sent to the room there was great reluctance not only for the service but also for some of the changes we wanted in the MAP plan, which were very minor and normally taken care of in such hotels. One Mr Kaluram later came and apologized for the behaviour of his staff and was willing to provide lunch and dinner the next day at our room but we decided not take food in the hotel other than the breakfast. The breakfast for the next 2 days were also not up to 4 star standard and there were very fewer items as well. This hotel I feel is not suited for vegetarians and for people on leisure travel and this is my personal view. Even after giving prior information through our agent that we will vacate at noon instead of 10AM, someone started chasing us from 11.30AM.

The hotel is actually better than many reviews or pictures would have you believe. We reached very late one January night after a delayed flight, and the spacious, comfortable, clean rooms were just what we needed. The location is also quite convenient, with the riverfront very close by if one needs a refreshing morning walk. I also appreciated the fact that we were given two river-facing rooms, even though we had booked only one (and the other non-river-facing). The food was a bit hit-and-miss (mostly, it missed). The breakfast was average, while the other meals ranged from bad to decent. I would suggest relying on the many good eating options in Ahmedabad instead of the hotel food for lunch and dinner. Thankfully, the hotel allows ordering food through delivery platforms. The bits I disliked the most were things that could be easily corrected. I booked through the hotel website, and the confirmation mail included a discount on F&B services. At the hotel, despite showing the mail at the reception (after being treated as if I was lying) and informing the restaurant, the discount wasn't given. It's not that the discount would have made a huge difference to my overall expense at the hotel, but it's just a matter of principle and treating customers properly. Similarly, for the Wi-Fi, I had to ask the reception multiple times. They activated it for our rooms for one day, and then it was deactivated again (we stayed for three days). The 5G network is good in the area, so it didn't affect my work, but again, this behavior just makes one think of the stereotypical miserliness associated with certain communities. On the whole, I would still consider our stay pleasant. The hotel has a certain old-world charm, with reasonably polite service.
