Diwans bungalow is an oasis of calm away from the frenetic but very interesting city of Ahmedabad. It's a beautiful heritage property & the public areas are tastefully decorated with nice seating areas. The bedroom was a good size & also tastefully decorated but what made this hotel so special was the exceptional service given by the enthusiastic and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. |A special mention to the front office manager, Mr Vijay Kumar Jangid. We were due to take the train to Udaipur however my travelling companion was unwell & at very short notice Vijay arranged a car and driver and we were able to keep to our itinerary for which I am very grateful. Our driver was also good and safe & we had a very comfortable drive.|I would also like to thank all the staff, Rajesh, Laxman, Yogi, Nehal, Vashkar, Kumar, Dhani Ram. Every interaction we had during our 4 night stay was helpful and they all showed kindness & concern for my friend's health. Thank you all for a wonderful and positive stay.

The hotel was simply out of our expectations. The ambience and grandeur of the place is outstanding. The rooms are very spacious, decor absolutely stunning and every piece of furniture just reminds you of the glorious past of this bungalow. Kudos to the person responsible for the restoration of this beautiful building and turning it into a hotel. |Special mention has to be made of Mr Abhiroop and his entire team for making our stay so memorable. |The approach to the hotel is through some congested roads, but once inside the premises, you forget everything and just enjoy the beauty of the place. The helpfulness of the manager and the entire staff is exemplary.

It was a pleasant surprise amidst the narrow lanes of Ahmedabad. Although we didn't get the suite of our choice, our stay was well managed. We were alloted Munir khana. Quite a unique suite by itself.|After a day trip to Surat and Vadodara, I was down with sunstroke. The staff made it seem like I was at home. Mosambi juice, Tender coconut water and Patli Khichdi and so on and so forth kept flowing in and J recuperated within a day. They could get me whatever I needed.|Vijay was exceptionally caring and Nihal the Su chef was great. The chef himself did a great job arranging our anniversary dinner . The staff lit up the narrow path to the garden table with candles and made it a memorable experience. |Well worth the money and time spent.

Nice hotel with cosy atmosphere. We had the heritage room. Big room with living room, hot shower. Firm matrass but ok. |The cook is fantastic so we ate her every meal! The last day we found a menu by chance and there were even french fries on it! We should have known earlier.|After 3 days, we had to ask for fresh towels, water and coffee/tea and to clean the room. They forgot? We suggest to provide the info upon arrival.|The reception is very helpful to help you with any arrangements (they don't book for you, but help you).|Tip: Tuktuk to city centre is about 50rupies one way. Try to find the menu on day 1 cause the food is delicious! Heritage room is nice.

We spent a week here and fell in love with the old world charm of this historic bungalow. With its tranquil courtyard garden, it is an oasis in the bustling heritage city. We loved all the different areas the bungalow provided for relaxing within a boutique-sized property. Be sure to wander the small lanes & alleys nearby of this vibrant neighbourhood which offers a brilliant insight into authentic Indian street life. Avirup and the staff were super helpful and the traditional Diwani cuisine is delicious. Diwan's Bungalow is a perfect spot from which to explore Ahmedabad's old city and feel like you have a welcome home to return to with all the charms of a bygone era.

Excellent stay here especially the front desk manager Mr. Vijay was very helpful. Would love to come again. The stay was very unique and the staff was also very nice . Ahmedabad has a hidden gem and everyone should come and stay here and look for Mr Vijay to make their stay a memorable one.

Stayed here for a night during Coldplay weekend at Ahmedabad. One of the very few 4* places that hadn't hiked their prices to the moon, especially considering we were late to book. Stayed in the heritage suite, which was extremely spacious and well decorated. The hotel is a restored royal bungalow, so the aesthetic is amazing Vintage furniture and fixtures if you're into that stuff Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean More than enough space for an extra bed since we were a group of 3 ACs were powerful, only thing to note is the toiletries provided were not sufficient and the room service can be a bit delayed. Nothing that can't be fixed It's not in a posh locality, but it is central- 2km from train station, bus stand and the metro red line. It's a bit loud on the street, but rooms are sound-proofed. Overall a wonderful stay with friendly staff, different from the usual luxury properties
