Well, we stayed for 2 nights. Our room was very well stocked on our arrival. It was neat and tidy. The house keeping worked its wonder in our absence, The restaurant staff was very courteous and responsive. In short, we had a wonderful stay.

The hotel is great but the staff has a lot of attitude. They will not entertain your request at all saying this is the best they could do without even checking . I was traveling with my 1 year old and my parents . I requested 2 rooms close by .Without even checking he refused saying that giving you rooms on the same floor is the best he could do in spite of me insisting that I need my parents help with my baby. Both the rooms were way far from each other. I had guest form outside joining me for breakfast one morning. I had already informed the hostess about it. Than while we were having breakfast one another lady comes to our table and started interrogating us about our rooms how many people are there in each room which I felt was rude and unnecessary bcoz they take everyone's ID at checking and are very well aware of the guests staying In the rooms. The other issue was weight our bags. We confirmed prior to arriving that we need to check the weight of our bags and they said they will gladly assist with that as many times as we need all we had to do was call them to take the bags, weight them and bring them back. But the guy who came to pick up the bags was very rude saying your bags are very heavy and we need to help him put the bags on the trolly and he will do this only once ! ( offcourse they will be heavy bcoz we are traveling international hence they needed to be weight) On the other hand the chef was very nice ( the best person around) and very asked pleasantly if he could help us with anything and also offered to make some plain khichadi for my baby! Thank you chef we really appreciated that a lot!
Smooth and perfect check-in. Your person at the front desk Annapurna made it very comfortable check-in and your PR person Ms. Lovi made my stay an everlasting experience. Kudos to her personal touch and connect with customers, you have hired and trained great resources. Keep up this great way of connecting with customer and attitude.
Room was ok, nothing great. Breakfast had chewy, stale bacon served both nights we stayed. My main concern was I had pre-paid for 3 nights but had to leave 1 day early. The manager deducted the 3rd night stay and gave me a final bill showing Rs.18,000+/- in credit which the manager will process the refund later. I get a call that evening that since I booked online, they would not refund me the third night I didn't stay! I booked directly with Novotel, not some third party site. I told her I owned a hotel property in US that I've never heard of anyone being liable to pay for a night they didn't stay (unless it was the first night that penalized for cancellation). She rudely said if you own a property I should know! I got fed up and just told her I would call American Express and dispute the third day. Disgusted by her attitude, will not be returning to your hotel in the future.
Masala tea was excellent, wide spread buffet in breakfast and dinner, staff is very polite and helping. Food taste is amazing, real authentic Gujrat taste. Hotel Room card used to get disabled every day, not sure what is the issue. Staff told me that CARD should not be kept near any gadget, but I don't think that is the reason. I kept it in pocket where no mobile or any other device was there. They have to resolve this problem, I saw many struggling on this, as after going to room floor, they have to again come back to front desk to re-enable it. Another issue I noticed is that tea cups has some wierd design and it looks like those are dirty. I believe that they have intentionally designed rustic look cups but its not just me, many from my organization felt uncomfortable in using it. I was not knowing this and hence didn't use this CUP in my room thinking that these are dirty cups. But anyways I am not cutting any star for this as these are very trivial issues.
Your keys were frequently not working. I had to change it 2 times. Food at buffet was average and there is lot of scope of improvement and prices are very high. Otherwise, rest of facilities are good.
Overall not a good service at all ! Food quality is so so. Always trying to avoid to have a dinner in this hotel (though it is included in my package) ! No good gesture towards guest ! All the Managers doesn't have time to look after their guests, especially in my case which I felt this as well as last time ! Carpets in the room are completely dirty, looks not at all properly cleaned from several days ! If I compare the service of their other hotel at Vadodara i.e. Grand Mercure Surya Palace then these Novotel staff must take a training from them ! This was my last stay in this hotel & I have already asked my local team not to book a room again here !
Reached there at 9 am and had to leave next day at 6:15 am. My breakfast could not be accommodated in either days. Can make better planning for Business guests.
