Hotel Damjis, Ahmedabad

Bad experience. Manager is rude.Room service and cleaning are available after 3 times call. For baths, hot water comes after wasting 4 water buckets. The owner must have to understand that it is a waste of clean water. Bedsheets are not clean. The kitchen is not hygienic.

Worst experience ever. I strongly advise not to saty for a single day or night. I gently asked at reception regarding a toilet. But, the way he told me is furious. He said, no sir we don't have a toilet in our hotel if someone want to go thus, they can kindly go somewhere else on street. Is this an appropriate way to talk with coustomer form a manager.?

Hi this this is gunjan movaliya I stayed at damjis hote for 2 nd 1/2 month during april/may/June... i was looking for separate pg in Ahmedabad when i came to know about damjis hotel..but reviews were bad ....but as i could not find any other pg hence i visited damjis hotel personally....and i was very happy with staff behaviour specially mr vikas as he was very kind and helpful...my stay at damjis hotel was excellent....i will definitely recommend it.....

Worst experience. Hotel Manager is soo rude. No manners. No room service. Manager behavior is bad. Can't solve one problem in one day. Takes week to solve minor one problem. Not good place to stay.

Worst place ever , The manager Named (Sumeet (probably) ) is not good, while check in he always write your check in time wrong. If you ask something he gets angry and start talking in loud voice. Probably his mental situation is not under control (just an assumption) . Ask everything before check in and paying. You have to sign an agreement after you check in so be careful + You have to pay deposit it will be refundable but you will get cheque not cash on your check out. Date on cheque will be 2-3 days after your check out day (this is totally wrong thing in my opinion) .. Staff members are not that good + No service + No hot water for bath + Place is dirty + Food is very bad quality + No safety ... One thing I noticed every night manager doing something with meterbox so he can save electricity bill. I would say avoid this place..

I am a female and was staying there on my own. Not once did I feel unsafe in the hotel (or in Ahmedabad). I had a simple room: double bed, tv, shower. It's not a posh place but it is very clean, the staff is polite, respectful and helpful. The restaurant makes delicious clean food and it's quite inexpensive. It is well located on Ashram Road less than a ten minute walk from Sabarmati River, some great cafes and art organizations. No one can enter the living area without being grilled by the desk staff. They speak English and Hindi as well as Gujarati. They accept credit cards. Wifi was fine. The water for the shower is warm straightaway and plentiful. Excellent place for a solo female traveler to stay!

I was in Ahmedabad with a friend for our kids' National Level competition of UCMAS (Mental Arithmetic). We stayed from 18th to 20th August 2017. ||The best part of our stay was the location of the hotel and ease of travel to anywhere in the city. Staff was polite and cooperative. Rooms were average sized, with all basic amenities including WiFi. Rooms were cleaned everyday.There is some room for cleanliness of the bed-sheets, although the rooms were very clean. Food was simple and fine, although they lack variety (especially in Chinese food). It's on 5-10 mins distance from Sabarmati Ashram. even our competition venue- Eka Club near Kankaria lake was barely 30 mins drive even during rush hours. Hotel Receptionist was very courteous and helpful. She gave us many travel tips too. Some of the auto drivers in Ahmedabad were exceptionally honest and polite. It was a nice trip with no problems at all.Stay at Damji's was good.||In general the people of Ahmedabad are helpful and simple. Liked the place a lot.

This is an average hotel and staff was courteous. Location is excellent if you are not going to the new western part of the city and are interested in the main city. The place has good restaurants nearby. Old city is nearby if you want to do Heritage tour. CG Road, Ashram road is close. Do not expect fancy things which makes sense as the price is very reasonable. In short value for money.
