Mercure Goa Devaaya Resort

MGDR is Paradise on earth. Travelled with my husband and child and we had such a amazing experience. A truly well spent stay. A fabulous team and ambience. Nilesh was there to welcome us at the entrance with his lovely smile. Helen took a smooth and quick check in explained our itinerary and offered a refreshing welcome drink. Later George took us on a buggy for the hotel tour and dropped us to the room. The F and B Service and Kitchen team took care of our meals and checked on our food preferences. Sorry not remembering all the names. Met the GM Mr Pagi on arrival as well as on departure and he ensured that his team took a good care of us. Thanks to Trupti and his HR team for such a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Ritik took good care of my daughter while she was enjoying fishing activity. Overall a good experience and time well spent. My daughter said "mumma, we will stay here forever " so team MGDR we will come back.

Coming to Mercure was one of the best decision we made for our stay in Old Goa. The place is quaint, beautiful, serene and just peaceful. From the bar to their restaurant Pot Pourri, we had the best service from the staff. Food was equally mesmerising and matched to our palette. Mr. Shankhdeep at the restaurant, Mr. Shree while booking and Ms. Samiksha at the games section provided the impeccable client service to us. Staff like these are a valuable assets and make you want to come again. Overall, a 10/10 experience at Mercure Devaya at Diwar Island.

One of the highlights of our trip was the variety of leisure activities offered at the resort, which gave us wonderful moments of fun and bonding. Whether it was a quiet morning by the pool or participating in engaging group activities, there was always something special to do.||The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. From the front desk to the restaurant and activity area, everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. A special thanks to Shrivatsa for the amazing hospitality and for recommending this resort--it truly made all the difference!||Highly recommend Mercure Diwar if you're looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating escape in Goa.

It's a beautiful cozy serene place. Nice amenities and wonderful staying experience. Commute to the place is through jetty as it being on an island & no bridges yet developed.

We were three families with five children aged 5-10, we visited in the last week of March and were there for three nights. We were all Accor Plus members (with Gold and Silver status) and our stay here was absolutely fantastic! We booked the resort using their official site and paid through points. ||Good Stuff||- The biggest highlight of the property is its people. Folks at the reception, restaurant, play area, swimming pool etc are all trained very well to make our stay special. Not a single incident of any kind. We interacted the most with the girl at the restaurant, Hlute (pronoucned Lutey) and she was exceptional. She catered to our kids with extra love and care. We really appreciated that. The lady at the reception was very helpful as well. Full marks for hospitality.||- Check in was smooth and took barely five mins. We were offered Kokam-based drink on arrival. Courtesy being Accor Gold members our rooms were upgraded to the next category (the ones in the building that has Spa and Pani Poorie restaurant). We were offered two drinks of our choice per room during our stay. We were also offered cookies and fruits in the room once on the day of our arrival.||- Rooms were pretty big and were well appointed. They also had a huge balcony each. Cleanliness was top-notch across board. The bed was king-size and was comfortable.||- The property is not huge but big enough to feel that we can be here for 3-4 days. It has all amenities, including play area for children. Even though the property is on an island with slight movement-restriction, we didn't feel it because the property itself was enjoable.||- We had almost all our meals there and the food was tasty and it wasn't expensive. We got our Accor Plus discount which made the deal really sweet.||Not So Good Stuff||- The property being on the island doesn't have the best network reception. To make things worse, the Wifi wasn't working in our rooms. When complained, they put a wireless repeater in one of the rooms and it helped in two rooms. However, the third room was still not getting it, but the lady at the reception (she is the main one during the day, I guess) offered to change the room. We didn't want to change the room to avoid splitting the children in two places. So, while there was an issue, she offered a solution. We are good here.||- The property itself is on island. The entry to the island is through one of the four ferry routes. While the ferries are frequent and we didn't face any issue with them as such, they felt a bit of constraining anyway. We didn't feel to start driving to wherever we wanted because we knew we will have to get on to the ferry and get off. A caution for people driving to this resort, please don't bring sedans, especially the big ones, We were in three cars, a mid-size luxury SUV, a German mid-size SUV and a ~5m long German sedan and the sedan scraped everytime we were getting on or off the ferry. If you must bring a sedan, try taking the ferry from the old Goa side. Maybe call the hotel and ask for the directions. ||- Being on island again, some people may feel they are not in Goa. There is no beach nearby. They have Mandovi river right next and it's fantastic. But you know what I mean!||Overall a lovely place to be and we would highly recommend it.

Just returning from a school reunion at this property. Thirty of us were pampered by their most efficient staff, led by their able General Manager Sanjay Pagie !! Beautiful location, nice rooms, beautifully curated landscape, great food and most courteous staff members. Elizabeth, their sales head coordinated the event beautifully, and every request was taken positively. The property is ideal for reunion get togethers, corporate meets and even social events like weddings ||Sanjay does run an efficient and effective ship, kudos !! Eat wishes to the team, we shall return :)

The rooms were luxurious and clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the amenities were top-notch. The resort's peaceful and serene atmosphere made our stay truly unforgettable. Highly recommend Devaaya Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway in Goa!

The property is soooo beautiful the view is amazing .it's so peaceful. The rooms are very clean and overlooking the river.the service and staff is excellent. The asst sales manager Elizabeth da costa was very helpful right from booking the rooms to check in and check out.The rates of the rooms are soo reasonable considering such a beautiful property 5 star standards overall the best experience ever.
