Villa Cleto Guest House

I had a wonderful holiday and I loved interacting with the host family. What worked: The location is excellent. The bus is a 3 minute walk away and the main Panjim bus stand is a short bus ride away from where one can get buses for all over. There is much to do in a 3km radius. The family who runs it is very helpful and friendly. It felt safe, had a nice vibe, the neighbourhood is nice, the view from my room was great. What didn't: I had to buy water. It would have been good to have filtered drinking water available for free. It would have been nice to have a little common space with facilities to eat, fix breakfast, meet other guests. Eating in the room doesn't feel right. I discovered on the last day that there is a common space upstairs. I would have liked better room cleaning services, basic toiletries in the bathroom, better linen. This was just about passable. It was lovely to stay in a family run guest house.

Villa Cleto in Goa is a hidden gem that never disappoints. I recently had the pleasure of visiting for the second time, and once again, it exceeded all expectations! The highlight of my stay was, without a doubt, the warmth and hospitality of the family who runs the homestay. They treat you like family, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The entire family is incredibly welcoming, always ready to offer local tips, share a laugh, and make sure you're comfortable throughout your stay. They always make an effort and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable throughout the stay. A unique and incredibly convenient feature of Villa Cleto is the adjoining general store and pharmacy. Whether you need snacks, toiletries, or any other essentials, it's just a few steps away, making it super easy to stock up on anything you might need during your stay. The property itself is beautiful, offering a peaceful, authentic Goan experience. It's a perfect blend of modern comfort and traditional charm. Whether you're lounging in the cozy rooms or enjoying the serene surroundings, it's a place that allows you to unwind and soak in the beauty of Goa. What makes Villa Cleto stand out is the personal touch and the safety it has to offer- the family's genuine care and attention to details ensure that your stay is memorable. It personally feels like a home away from home and I can't recommend this place enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! I had a pleasant two-week stay at Villa Cleto Guest House, thanks to the attentive care of John and his family. John was incredibly helpful in guiding me to various amenities in Panjim, from bus stops to laundromats. Even after I left, he went out of his way to assist me with posting a courier. I truly appreciate the warm hospitality and would wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful stay my friends.

The owner and his daughter are the kindest people you can find and really helpful for any need. The house is beautiful and our room was big and clean and could easily accomodate a family with two sons. Also the position is very practical, just 15mins walking to the coloured housed in the old town in Panaji. Highly recommend!

Good place to stay.. Owner is friendly, will help you to get rental bikes. Room are clean and well maintained, safe. Nearby you will find many tourist point and some good cafes.

We ended up staying at Villa Cleto for 4 nights when we got a bit stuck in Panjim. The hotel is on a quiet residential street, an easy walking distance from Fontainhas and lots of good restaurants and some good bars. Our room was incredibly clean and well equipped. The owner, John, was really helpful and went out of his way to solve some problems for us. Very glad we booked here!

Everything was perfect. This was my first solo trip and this hotel was the best part of my trip. Clean rooms, convenient location and walking distance from Fontainhas. The Owner, Mr. John is very friendly and helpful.

The location is convenient, with several veg and non veg. restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable, and the environment is peaceful, ensuring no disturbances during my 6-day stay. However, the only issue I encountered was the lack of complimentary drinking water after the first day. The subsequent days,upon requesting, I was told I needed to purchase it myself, and they even declined to provide their own drinking water. Having to buy water for the rest of my stay was an unexpected expense.
