Vailankanni Beach Resort

I stayed here for 5 weeks as part of a yoga course and loved every minute. My bamboo hut was spacious and spotless with a comfy mattress and mosquito net (although I had my own). Hot water was a godsend, and towels were provided - rooms were regularly cleaned too. On top of that, the food was fantastic. I ate all 3 meals there most days and never had a bad one. The location is great, right on the beach, and the restaurant is spacious. By far the best thing though, is the staff. They never once seemed flustered even with out huge and sometimes demanding group - always there with a smile. Suresh, the owner, has cultivated a great little family and I will definitely returned. ||Highly recommended

We stayed 3 nights in the queen room sea view. The terrace was amazing: can enjoy gorgeous sunsets and sea breeze, very good for reading as almost all day in shadow. The room is basic and needs some maintenance. If you choose the queen rooms be aware about restaurant noise downstairs. The owner is very nice and helpful, the service a bit slow. Good wifi. To me the beach is one of the best in Goa, quiet and even in pick season not so many people.

The quietness and calm beach is what I loved here. I stayed here quite a few times. I remember I was there the first time was in 2010. Quiet place. I love the herbal wooden cottages. Hear the cracking of waves of the Sea from your room. The rooms are clean and hygienic. There is a walkway to the beautiful beach and the waters of Arabian Sea, a small bridge as you cross the Mandrem River or Rivulet (they call it a Whacky Wooden Bridge built for your access to the Sea). You can access the beach anytime you like. There are poolside beds kept at the beach for you to lie down and enjoy the exotic nature and sea. The food is tasty. You have a multi-cuisine restaurant and bar here. I loved every item on their Menu. You have Roof Top Wooden Rooms are a Honeymoon Couples. Enjoy Fishing and go for Dolphin Spotting on Goa beach. You have a spa or massage center here at this resort. The staff people is disciplined. Overall, a peaceful place in Goa and enjoyed your holidays staying here peaceful.

I stayed here for a month and have never before experiences a staff as kind and welcoming as those at Vailankanni! The owner, Suresh is the most honest and friendly man and will take care of all the needs you have. The beach front AC room was very comfortable, clean and had all the amenities I needed. The 1minute walk to the ocean and sunset were beyond incredible. The staff here became like a family to me and I will definetly be back to stay next time I am in Goa!

I have visited goa for many times. I have stayed at Donapoula, Panjim, Madgaon, Mapusa, Taligaon, Vasco. But this time i decided to stay little bit away from the city and rushes so i choose this place called Vailankanni cottage at Mandrem. I have travelled all the way from Mumbai to spend two days in peace. This is really a superb place to stay. The room/huts are made up of bamboo. The surrounding is covered with coconut tree. You can view the beautiful Arabian Sea from your room itself. Which will make your day. This place have a Superb Bar Cum Restaurant where Chef Gasha and Chef Kulbhushan will make you some mouthwatering food. The bartender Rampal Sharma will be there for you all the time when ever you required any thing just tell he will arrange it for you. Sharma has made some beautiful cocktail which is will make you feel so chill. This cottage has a private road which directly connected to the Mandrem beach. The beach is so clean. There are lots of shack present on the beachside with live music. You can try food and drinks there also. The restaurant of this cottage is sea facing where you can have food while experiencing the beach view and the fresh air. At last not the least Mr Suresh the owner is very down to earth. He is there for you at every given situation. By the way all the staff here is superb. Specially Ram pal. I am eagerly waiting to come here again.

We had a great stay here (actually trading as Chique Shanti, same as spa/cafe next door). Lovely room with sea facing balcony and great restaurant with wide menu. General Manager was a bit grumpy at times, but this was made up for by friendly and helpful staff and lovely owner Shanti who was around on site too.

I reached really late and the staff were really helpful - they were really helpful all the way through my stay as it goes! Great people! The room was really nice, clean and comfortable with AC and hot water. Location is fantastic right by the beach. Food was great too and lovely breakfasts - definitely will be back!

I spent a whole month here whilst doing my YTT. A newly built yoga shala was erected right outside the beach bungalows we stayed in, especially for our course. ||I cannot commend the boys working here enough, they would work around the clock, without a day off (seasonal work - they are from the North and go home during monsoon season), and not once would a request be too much to ask, always happy to help, smiling and welcoming whenever you saw them (and sometimes we would ask for a lot!) The location of the bungalows are just beautiful, right on the beach front with a gorgeous view of the sunset over the ocean. The rooms are a little dark, due to the way they've been built but there was never really a problem with electricity so this wasn't a big deal. There is also hot water available any time of day if desired. On the first night we did have a bit of a drama with some cockroaches, however I want to stress how amazing the staff were at dealing with the situation, they moved us rooms and the next day there was an extremely thorough deep clean of the rooms, they even had the holes sealed off (needless to say we saw very few during our stay there after.) The food was above average but nothing to write home about, although breakfast was always amazing, we per-ordered this every day, always changing orders last minute, which once again they dealt with efficiently and cheerily. They were happy to make dishes that weren't even on the menu at a request (eg Kichiri). Overall my experience was a really great one,the staff made this experience for me and I thank them all for this.
