Hotel Gabriel Calangute beach

The hotel experience was very disappointing. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The food quality was terrible and overpriced. Basic amenities like WiFi and hot water were not working. The location was noisy and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It's the owners habit to turn back from his own words and never be supportive of any request. While booking the rate which shows with ac on maps, while reaching there he will not accept it, and intentionally wants the guests to go away without refund as there were 3/4 of them in 2 days fighting for refund cuz of non promise keeping. We agreed in 900/night with ac. But he refused and asked for 1300/ night so we stayed just for 2 days as we already paid advance. The rooms were pathetic.. none of the ac in any rooms were are working. The doors keep on banging no maintenance at all rooms are smelling. When asked the owners dad he says no service people stay here for long, I was like how will any one stay here if the owner might not be paying them only. On complaining of ac leaking water he shifted us to another room where the ac was not cooling at all. Some latest pics and videos of the room. It was good that we spoke to our last time room provider "Thomson Villa" nr Candolim beach, budget as well and she welcomed us willingly without asking even a single question and nice rooms. It was our mistake we wanted to experiment with something new. But now onwards Thomson Villa is our one and only destination to visit in Candolim goa. Host Belinda is very sweet and welcoming in every way possible. It's just opposite the Candolim beach entry with a beach view. Please check once before booking this gabriel guest house.

I have booked this property on Agoda and when I called them to inform them about the time that I will be coming to their hotel they asked for advance payment and also said if it will be available then only the room can be allotted. When I reached the property location they said check-in time is 11 am and we can give you a room I don't understand why they have given this reason even after I have mentioned the time in additional optional that what time we will be reaching and also mentioned the higher rate, I would suggest that never book this property and I won't recommend this property to anyone, the lady who was the owner she was such a rude person and other male person he was as same as lady. I don't understand why such people do these types of things with us due to which we have to face difficulty. It seems that they might be taking advance payment from their customers and once they make payment they for sure increase the charges horrible property and owner. What you think that you will give your foolish reasons that it was full, you clearly mentioned that if you want rooms you have to pay more which doesn't make any sense you people are making your customer fool any doing such type of frauds, and you mentioning that I should have paid in advance so that I should have no other option other then to book your room for higher rate wow what a great idea to make some one fool. Guys people don't book this property and never pay in advance to such kind of people as we can see there are many other reviews that shows how much frauds they are doing.

My experience with this property was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, the price was increased significantly inspite of of having an Agoda prepaid booking. I ended up paying nearly double (1200) for a non-AC room that should typically cost 500-600. To make matters worse, the staff managing the property were very rude, especially the lady at the counter and the man in charge. The room itself was poorly maintained, with a broken switchboard that felt unsafe to use. This place is nowhere near the standards of proper hospitality and felt more like a basic lodge. Coming from Mumbai, I can confidently say this property is overhyped, and there are much better options available nearby. I moved to another property as soon as possible. I still fell in the trap inspite of seeing so many signs that I shouldn't book this property. Requesting you guys not to fall on the same trap like me.

Location - located near to Market place Food - not serving Service - rooms was good in condition but AC was Not much powerful as we expected. Swimming pool was best for relaxation. Staff- behaviour of lady owner was rude with customers. There was a musty smell coming from the room. Other wise budget friendly rooms was great

The worst experience we have ever had through Agoda.. The rooms looked like very basic lodge.. no room service, owners were rude and sounded least interested, also asked for extra payment inspite of pre-paying through Agoda.. Owner mentioned it's not our concern if you want the room payment extra.. I would never recommend this property to any of my friends or family members.. Overall I would rate this property in negative but unfortunately the option isn't available.

I give 0 zero star. I book this property by Agoda app. Once i come for check in, they are asking extra payment for checkin Rs.2000. Very worst. Very rude talking. I won't suggest to anyone to book this property

Very rude behaviour, they increased rate when we reached after online booking. When enquired about this owner reacted rude saying you take it at this rate if you want. We had travelled 30 mins for this place after booking and when mentioned this he says not my problem.
