SO/ DUBAI, Uptown

I recently stayed at SO/Uptown Dubai hotel and had mixed feelings about the experience. On a positive note, the decor throughout the property is truly beautiful--stylish, modern, and clearly well thought-out. The lobby and rooms both had a warm, inviting atmosphere that made a great first impression. Unfortunately, that's where the positives mostly ended. Firstly during checking in the receptionist didn't introduce us to the hotel facilities and restaurants. Secondly the water pressure in the shower was disappointingly weak, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper rinse. The TV in the room was nearly useless due to a very low maximum volume, even at full blast. The bathtub also didn't function correctly--the stopper wouldn't seal, so I couldn't actually take a bath, which was frustrating. To top it off, guest services were unresponsive. I tried calling multiple times to report the issues, but no one ever answered the phone. For a hotel that presents itself as upscale, I expected much better service and maintenance. Additionally there was no self service parking which is very important to some guests. Overall, while the place looks great, the lack of basic functionality and poor service made it a letdown. I hope management takes steps to address these issues soon.

I had the most wonderful stay at SO/Uptown. My room was on one of the top floors and my view was absolutely stunning, especially at night. The bed was super comfy, and the rain shower lovely. For breakfast, they offer a wide variety of options, but most importantly, it tastes so good! The staff is very nice and helpful. The Marina Creek is nearby and a wonderful place to visit and explore. I would definitely recommend this hotel during your stay in Dubai!

I stayed for 5 days at the SO/ Uptown Dubai and had an amazing experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful design and top-notch service. I especially want to mention Torbit, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. He always made sure everything was perfect and went out of his way to assist with anything I needed. Thanks to him and the whole team, my trip was even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

I'm currently staying at SO Uptown Dubai and everything has been absolutely amazing so far. From the stylish design of the hotel to the warm and professional service, it's been a 10/10 experience. I ordered in-room dining and was genuinely impressed; not only was the food delicious, but the service was truly outstanding. Dayal, who delivered the food, was incredibly polite, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. It's rare to see that level of care and hospitality, and it definitely made the experience feel extra special. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, luxury, and exceptional service!

It's rare to see such genuine hospitality, and it truly made our guests feel special. Leadership & Support: A special mention to the management (Mariem) and leadership (Daniel) who went above and beyond to support us throughout the entire event. Their proactive approach, problem-resolution, and willingness to accommodate our requests made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable. They were there every step of the way, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that we could focus on celebrating this special moment with our loved ones. Overall Experience: From the breathtaking setup to the flawless execution, we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our daughter's wedding. Such a lovely hotel, good location... service is amazing. ||We booked the loft room which was nice and spacious the views were amazing, the rooms were sound proof so very quiet!||The pool area is really relaxing they play decent music, spent the whole afternoon by the pool which is not normally something I do but the vibe was just perfect.||Breakfast was AMAZING, the eggs were cooked to perfection the porridge was also done perfectly!||I can't fault this hotel on anything, I've defo found my new spot in Dubai where I'll be staying on weekends.

Brilliant hotel and amazing experience, I stayed here for six nights in May, the staff are helpful, the concierge booked a taxi for my mother and she just told him my son would pay and he just booked it with taking her room number or any payments details, the room are spacious and good value for money during May prices, the room service teams are excellent and considerate, Alamgir was the best room service I got in any five star hotels, I forgot much cash outside the safe and found it the same. The amenities are all good and nothing short of perfection, only drawback is the lengthy way to get to the entrance from the street and location is far other parts of the city.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, I would rate my experience as zero out of ten. I had booked a suite room, expecting comfort and a relaxing vacation, but what I received was far from that. The room was not clean, and I did not feel comfortable at all. It truly felt like a waste of money, and I regret choosing your hotel. This stay did not feel like a holiday in any way, and I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and work to improve the quality of your rooms and services.
