The Umrao

Ah, The Umrao--a four-star hotel experience with all the charm of a suspicious neighborhood guesthouse.||I stayed here with my brother and had an early morning flight, while he was heading back to the hotel afterward to get ready for work (since he lives in Delhi). We informed the receptionist very clearly that he wasn't checking out. But apparently, "communication" is just decorative at this hotel.||While waiting for the valet, the receptionist decided to bless us with his presence--five times--to ask us to pay for a chocolate from the minibar. Yes, a chocolate. The room was fully paid for, mind you. But he looked at our bags and confidently concluded that we were sneaking away into the sunrise with unpaid chocolate bar. I tried to stay polite, because arguing over a chocolate at 6am isn't exactly how I like to start my day, but honestly, if I couldn't afford a snack from the minibar, I wouldn't be staying at The Umrao. Wild concept, I know.||And just when we thought the morning couldn't get any better, my brother's car wouldn't start. Turns out, the valet--clearly a seasoned professional of "25 years"--forgot to switch off the headlights. When confronted, he assured us with full confidence that he would never do something so silly. Thankfully, the CCTV footage didn't get the memo--because it clearly showed the lights were on all night. Oops. Eventually, my brother and the valet had to push the car while I sat in the driver's seat to jumpstart it. Just the kind of five-star valet service you dream about.||To their credit, one of the managers at checkout did try to smooth things over and was genuinely polite and professional. It's just a shame that the rest of the experience made it feel like we were on some sort of hidden camera show.||Would I stay again? Probably not. Unless I'm in the mood to be accused of chocolate theft and stranded by valet expertise.

The checkin process was pretty smooth. Komal from the front deak was very welcoming. As I had arrived bit earlier than the checkin time she guides me through the process and arranged for a complimentary coffee and cokies while I waited.||The room was cosy and clean, the best part was that the toliteries smelled great and felt good on the skin.||The food is also really good. ||The only downside was that there is no option to order food from outside and the the inhouse dining is really costly. ||Also the complete resort is a smoke free zone, so everytime you need to have a smoke, ypu need to go outside for a quick smoke.||The property is close to the airport.||I would like to thank all the staff of the Umrao for making my stay a pleasant one.

Veey good The hotel was gorgeous. Room was|spacious,and shower was great. Their body|soap smelled so good.|Didn't have chance to use much but pool|and gym looked very well taken care of, and|restaurant thyme was delicious and considering the|atmosphere, it wasn't too expensive either.|Breakfast had wide range of food,chai was|great. |Very good shehroj!

I had an excellent warm welcome thanks to Komal. She guided us so well and very polished i must say... thanks for wonderful stay... even Mr Surendra for my last min of request for setting up a bday tray... thank you staff and the hotel is wonderful n very convenient in terms of airport

I recently attended my company's annual function at The Umrao Hotel, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. Located conveniently on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, the property offers a perfect blend of elegance and luxury. The ambience was top-notch, with beautifully landscaped lawns, spacious banquet halls, and warm hospitality. The food was delicious, especially the live counters, and the service was smooth throughout the event. Overall, The Umrao is an ideal venue for corporate events, weddings, or even a relaxing weekend getaway. Highly recommended!

A wonderful ambience specially on poolside. Pool is large and also have kids pool area which is lovely. We came for a family vacation it was really wonderful hotel staff shehroj helped for room decorations along with sahid. Such a lovely decoration they did. Hotel staff were warm welcoming.

Rooms are very good food was ||Amazing wedding was nice we had very nice atmopshere provided by the management at very affordable price . I could have enjoyed much but could not have much time because i had to take caee entire fucntion but all of my guest was happy . Hotel food is very tasty and also the services . Hotel housekeeping staff was very much proactive and anticipited to needs . Thank you everyone for your efforts and experince . We would definitely love to come back this hotel again and again.

Planned a poolside dinner and a Spa for my wife here for her birthday. Though I was very apprehensive, it turned out to be a great decision. My wife loved the Spa experience, one of the best we have experienced in the last few years. For dinner, we were booked at the poolside but there was a party at the venue that overran it's schedule. I spoke to the restaurant staff about it and they upgraded me to Gazebo dining near fountain at no extra cost. Loved both the food and the experience. Bhupendra, who served us was great in his service. Not to forget, the cake we got from the in house Bakery was amazing as well. It was great value for money and we loved every bit of it.
