Location of this hotel is poor with some internal safety concerns ( see photos). Rooms are clean. Good atmosphere. Value ok. Breakfast basic but suffice. Staff was excellent with the exception of Amar concierge manager who market tours aggressively, my advice get everything from him in writing and read the fine print. Example ( a guided tour of Delhi with no guide and a driver that spoke little English. ( booked tour to Amritsar where only half the tour expected was delivered and only after the tour guide threatened Amar with cancelling the whole tour unless he was paid. Travel up to Amritsar was in a lower class on Indian railway not a great experience) As disappointing as Amar was, Anil Sharma our Amritsar guide was great, kind and knowledgeable even helping us to rebook new train tickets. Thinking of touring that area contact him directly on instagram (feelmycitytours or WhatsApp +919780234705)

It's been 6 years since I was last in the Paharganj and I would have been happy to not return. The Prime Delhi Hotel has redeemed my experience! I found the photos and positive reviews of this hotel to be exactly what I experienced. The staff were extremely trustworthy and helpful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The bathroom was spotless with a luxurious hot water shower. Breakfast had a good mix of Indian and international options. Plus the hotel is super conveniently located making it easy to get in and out of the Paharganj. It's nearby to the metro and about a 10 minute drive to Connaught Place. Affordable rooms with excellent service make this hotel a great value!
I stayed 3 nights in the hotel. Im so grateful for all the hotel staffs especially mr amar. He arranged my tour and he is making sure im safe and i enjoy the tour. It was a short stay but it was incredible. I recommend this hotel to those looking for easy and safe stay in new delhi.
Incredible how a hotel this bad can charge this much.. Cost approx $100 USD per night + Room was very basic, had 0 (zero ) windows, the lights didn't work and there was no hot water. Throughout our 2 night stay the owner was very aggressive. He lied about trains being cancelled to try and swindle us to get a private taxi to Agra, he then grabbed my partners phone to enter a 10/10 booking.com rating. Be cautious with google reviews in India ( there's lots of fakes). Please note I stayed here in Jan 2024 so maybe it's improved.
The hotel itself is fine for a budget trip, it's very basic, comfortable bed, very small room and bathroom no windows 2/3 nights max, breakfast edible. The main man on reception attempted to persuade us to change our trip plans for the Taj Mahal, book his, and on leaving the hotel insisted I write the review with him present, wanted me to give him 10s all round which it's definitely not worth, very persistent. The area is quite deprived with diverse community, busy with local life, noisy, hectic but definitely full of diverse lifestyle.
The room is good for India, the mattress is soft, but many rooms have no windows, or rather they look out into a shaft that is unclear, and you can hear a lot. But the most important thing is the hair dryer, it is on a fuse and dries for 1 minute and then it turns off for 1 minute. What I didn't like was that the floor was covered in construction dust, and so were the stairs, and I fell on it and I wasn't alone. There are no railings, you can seriously injure yourself. They've been doing repairs for ages, they need to close, finish the repairs and work. And they did it partly wrong and let guests in. The kitchen isn't working, they bring food from who knows where and in what conditions it is, it's not clear. I don't want to recommend it. Well, maybe out of
During my stay, I found the security guard to be the most helpful staff member--truly worth a compliment. The front desk was decent, and while the tour desk (concierge) was eager to assist, they were overly pushy in selling tours, which led us to make a decision we later regretted. Regarding breakfast, the experience was disappointing. The cook seemed inexperienced, handling the morning operation alone without a proper understanding of food preparation or service sequence. The so-called buffet line was extremely poor--if it could even be called a buffet. Worse, the juice dispenser contained dead insects, completely ruining my morning drink. I ordered sunny-side-up eggs, but what I received were the worst I've ever had--the yolk was broken and completely messed up. Given that there were only three occupied tables (ours and two single diners), the lack of staff attention was unacceptable. For the 3,000 rupees we paid, I honestly don't know what we were paying for.
Excellent chef. He really makes terrific food and is the best PR person the hotel has. The food is very good and the chef goes out of his way to ensure guests are happy. He has a great eye for detail and is extremely caring. An enjoyable place to stay
