I had a terrible experience with a taxi driver and hotel scam near the IGI Airport. I booked a taxi from Carzonrent to drop you off at Hotel SSD Torak Plaza, but the driver claimed the SSD hotel was in a bad area and not safe. He offered to take me to a different hotel, which you later discovered was part of the scam. The driver and hotel staff overcharged for the room, and the room was dirty, smelly, and had no internet no mobile network. I also witnessed another NRI, an American citizen, being scammed in a similar way. An incident of robbery occurred on April 30, 2025, at midnight, where an American girl was defrauded of approximately $7000/-. They didn't deserve a single star; they're thieves and a big gang that robs tourists. I booked a taxi from Carzonrent from Delhi Airport to Hotel SSD Torak Plaza near IGI Airport. The driver claimed I'd booked the hotel at the wrong spot, saying the police would ask for money from tourists and that the area wasn't safe. He said his car company also provided hotel services and that it was safer. I hesitated, but he dropped me near a dumpster, saying I'd check the hotel while he waited with my luggage. The area was bad, and my phone wasn't working due to international travel. He intimidated me, implying I'd be robbed if I went to the original hotel, so I agreed to go to his suggested hotel. When I arrived, they quoted me four times the hotel price Rupees 7000 and I felt trapped with no alternative since my luggage was in the driver's car and there were 4-5 people around me. I booked the room Rupees 3500, original price Rupees 1100 and room was dirty, smelly, and had no internet. I bought a SIM card, but it didn't work in the room. I went to the lobby to complain about the network, internet and AC issues. I witnessed a similar incident with an American NRI, a 40-year-old lady, who was scammed $160 for a taxi (actual price $11) and $200 for a hotel (actual price $15). attached picture for proof.

This hotel encourages scams by taxi drivers who take you here instead of the hotel you booked. They'll lie to you about your original hotel and bring you here instead. Do NOT support an establishment with such shameful practices.

I was there for 2 day in 2023 month of april , they charged 27 thousand ,,,Manager was like rude no manners.. Food was also bad . I never have seen this type of manager ..so owner should be take care of his property..

this is a scam with delhi airport taxi drivers. The rooms are basic and very expensive, the staff very unfriendly. A staff member took one bag to the room without us asking (he carried it to the elevator and that's it), he refused to leave our room until we tipped him, even after we politely declined. He didn't move and made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe do not come here and do not take a random cab at the airport

Do not stay here. Got scammed by a taxi driver at the airport who was obviously getting commission for taking us there. Was one in the morning so stayed but they charged Rs8000 or $180 for this hovel. The man at the desk was miserable. Tv didn't work. Toilet filthy. Shower unusable.. horrible experience and typical of India in general. These people have no shame. Also check out the dirty Nike slides to use of their manky bathroom floor. Also lift was dodgy and hallways stank.

A taxi driver from IGI Airport brought me to this hotel .It was 12:00 AM and I was tired .These crooks charged a whopping 6700 INR overnight. That taxi driver is the biggest filthy crook . I am going to lodge a complaint in the consumer court . The rooms are not even worth 2500 INR per night . Beware of any taxi driver at IGI airport who offers you hotel and that too at midnight . I will never stay in this hotel ever .

This hotel is linked to a taxi scam in Delhi, where tourists are led from the airport and told by the taxi driver they need to call your hotel to check the address as it's not an area they know. They then pass the phone to you and inform you your booking is cancelled. At this point you are in a foreign country with no access to a phone in the early hours of the morning with the only person to rely on being the scamming taxi driver. Our original hotel was PS15 per night and after driving around for 2 hours we were forced to stay the night at this hotel for PS120. On check out they tried to scam us for even more money saying we had eaten food the night before in the room baring in mind we had checked in at nearly 4am!! Totally ruined our opinions of India within the first few hours of landing. If you are able to access any internet before staying here please do! This place is over priced, unclean and a huge SCAM. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

MUST AVOID this place, don't stay even for free!! Pls share hotel owner contact details as I need to mention that in police complaint and to seek legal advice in this matter. I have stayed in the hotel last year and have complained about the poor service (AC stopped working on couple of occasions/TV didn't work at all) and the bathroom fittings were not fully functioning and there was a sharp edgy plywood sheet popping out below wash basin area that could easily hurt anyone. The biggest safety concern was related to exhaust fan that has clear access to the guest washroom area. This fall under the lack of sufficient safety measures that likely can result into incidents under criminal category, by law. I had reported it on 24th but no action was taken by their staff. We didn't feel safe there and I was reluctant to pay the room rent in full due to such issues. I wanted to report it to Police but had a flight that time so did not take any action. Since then, I am following up with the receptionist to get a response on my complaint and the bill receipt of the full payment that they have taken from me forcefully. There were two ladies (one of them is wife of the owner) who misbehaved and hold our baggage and forced me to pay in full. I was getting late so paid the amount but not at all happy with the customer service and felt very unsafe during our stay there. I remember the HR mentioned to me that you will share cc TV camera recordings but I did not get any. My family was completely surrounded by your staff, compelling us to pay. Very disappointed with this goonism and unprofessional attitude of the staff.. I have registered a case in consumer court and seeking legal advise to file a criminal case as well. Would not allow the owner to scam more people and must pay back for all thr inconvenience caused including legal fees. Watch out for the legal notices!!
