Hotel Grand President

It was my first time to visit Delhi when I stayed here probably 2016 for some sales meetings with Nielsen. I was completely traumatized as the bellman and what I presume was the manager (coz I saw them earlier at check in) were trying to enter my room at 11PM in the evening claiming they needed to clean my room. I was screaming from inside that they are NOT to come in under any circumstance. They were insisting to come in. It was terrifying. From the peephole I also saw another man (3rd man) down the hallway. My colleague who made the reservation made a mistake and safe to say, I only stayed in 5star hotels after this mishap. I just remembered to leave this review now since I have some friends traveling to Delhi now. DON'T STAY HERE! Especially if you are Female. I had to do long distance calls to get wifi so I could put my partner on speaker phone as the hotel didn't have wifi. Never again! I spent one night here awake the whole time fearing what were to happen if I slept.

Room was clean and maintained. Breakfast was basic. Hot water in wash basin also.

I stayed for 2 days due to interview. Check in was easy and hassle free. Location wise also easy to find. Walkable distance and Near to Karol Bagh metro station. Major Advantages: 1. Market nearby so you can go for shopping and eateries. 2. Refrigerator was provided. 3. Kettle provided along with tea bags, sugar, coffee, milk powder. 4. Good for business persons. 5. Location good. 6. In room dining was available. 7. Morning buffet breakfast chargeable Major drawback: 1. Internet facility was not up to mark. Wifi speed was slow. 2. Smart TV was there in room which works on WIFI.....which was not working so I got bored for 2 days. 3. Kettle was provided but was somewhat dirty. 4. Could not get hot water in Bathroom during night which was difficult during winter. 5. Can improve in room lightening. Room was dark.

Rooms old and outdated, musty smell, had a room above the road which was very noisy. Hot water not on at night. Was bareable for a couple of nights while waiting on tour to start. I'm sure there are better for a similar price. The owner or main man at the desk was very unhelpful unless you were handing over money.

Vwry average, and that being kind.|Good luck trying to walk anywhere once you exit the hotel. Once you have manages to pick your way past the dozens of scooters that block the entrance.|The hotel is in the main market area of Karol Bagh and it is a nightmare trying to navigate out of their.|Parking...forget it, I doubt your taxi will even be able to reach the front door.|Electrical sockets hanging off the wall, heaps of black mold on the sink grouting.|Hot water? If you time it right in the brief timeframe that it is turned on, just don't shower in the mornings.||I would never have stayed here if it wasn't for G Adventures putting us here.||If you have a choice, don't stay here.

A quite basic, but relatively nice hotel with great location. Rooms are clean and have all the things you'd expect, like: cups, a fridge, tv, AC, & a water-boiler. Beds are comfortable and nice, however i experienced on one occasion a relatively hard matress, but it is very much surviveable. Bathrooms are clean, but can be rather rough-looking. Fresh towels and soaps. ||Wifi is fast, but a little tricky to connect to as you need the receptionists to do it. Nice and cheap breakfast, water included upon arrival to the room. ||All in all, good value for money and a nice place :)

My encounter with this establishment was truly disappointing. Despite prepaying for a 4-day stay, I only stayed for one day. Their promise of refund via online transfer went unfulfilled, despite multiple complaints. The redeeming factor was the quality of the rooms. However, the overall experience was marred by their lack of integrity and failure to address grievances.

I with my wife and son had stayed in this hotel this Nov-19 and found very comfortable. The Hotel is clean, Room were Neat & Spacious, Hotel service was good, staff behavior was good enough, well mannered. Thanks to Mr Madan Pai who is managing the hotel nicely, his is concerned that his guests are comfortable. The hotel is located near Karol Baug market and has ease access to various other places but you need to be careful when moving out coz there are thiefs near the Hotel ready to snatch your valuables mobile or ornaments. The food taste was good with reasonable rate, understand the chef is a Nepali who cooks quite tasty food. Also be careful about the THUGS, An electric rickshaw Wala should take RS 10/- for Minimum fare per seat, don't given more than that if the destination is not far. Man pulled rickshaw please avoid as they demand anything. Better option is electric rickshaw.
