Hiuen Tsang Tourist Resort, Sirpur

Huge property with poor maintenance. Seems like ghostly place. Staffs and food are exception. They will go beyond all the extent to make you comfortable. Entry point in just beside the tourist information centre.

It's a chattisgarh govt resort..Rooms badly need maintenance..Staff very helpful..Food i had dal,roti,gobi,Sabri and rice was simple fresh and delicious.

Located some 500 meters off the Sirpur road, this is a serene hotel stay with all the required facilities being offered at extremely reasonable rates. The cooking is fabulous with Mr Daulat as the cook at the helm. Nice large rooms with 230-250 sqft space excluding bathroom and wardrobe area. Room has AC and TVs.

The location of the resort managed by Tourism department of Chhattisgarh in Sirpur is right at the edge of a forest. Nice and quite place to spend some quality time with friends and families. The ambiance is excellent and the working staffs were very efficient and helpful, unlike many of the government run facilities. The rooms are quite large and airy having most daily use comfort and facilities.The food available in the inn-house kitchen was too good. Atleast all the Indian vegetarian meals were made according to my personal need. One can enjoy the garden within the complex. Being within the walking distance to all the historical and archaeological excavations it helped me immensely to explore the ancient city at my own pace and with eyes to the details.I was lucky to be in the room where Dalai Lama stayed during his visit to Sirpur. The room rent was reasonable.Enjoy the sunshine and calmness which can only bring peace to the mind and soul.

1) The only Chattisgarh Tourism hotel in the town 2) Caught in time warp, the hotel is not able to keep itself updated as the time passed. 3) This place is in serious & immediate need for a renovation. Pros: 1) Located approx 500 m from the main road, it's a quiet & serene place. 2) Huge open space at disposal, rooms are also large in size. 3) Humble and co-operative staff, always ready to offer the best possible solutions 4) Modest kitchen and restaurant offers delicious food. Cons: 1) Every inch of the resort cries for renovation. More than 75% of the rooms are closed and not offered to anyone as they are not in a liveable condition. 2) Sign of seepage everywhere, cracks on the walls, broken tiles amd windows....list is long. The electrical gadgets inside the room, the furniture, the plumbing everything belongs to a bygone era. Verdict - Being the only decent hotel in the region, you really don't have much choice while in Sirpur. Although there was news that few private hotels were coming up in the viscinity.

As a foreign guest (The Netherlands) we really enjoyed staying in the resort! Beside the great location, the staff is really welcoming and the owner is an amazing character that speaks perfect English. We were lucky to join an amazing evening program including traditional dancing and singing. I really recommend this place!

Nice place with nice hospitality. If u wanna enjoy historical place and interested in some old ancient city than this is the place for you. Food quality is good here. What u wanna have you have to order prior, other wise everything is ok. Hiuen Taiwan Will give you all necessary things n information about Sirpur. Don't forget to visit gandheswar temple and Laxman temple.
