OYO 66868 THE EMPYREAN HOTEL & RESORTS

We're accomodated in 3rd floor of C block attending a wedding at the venue. Rooms were booked by the couples. The hotel has large area for buildings and events. Also parking lot with neat row of scrub trees complementing habitat in the surrounding. Electricity and plumbing wasn't a issue here. Bedroom was neat but most important complaint was in the bathroom: commode was not clean(bcoz of debris left by previous tenant) and the basin was not scrubbed properly to remove yellow stains. The commode had yellow stains on other rooms as well. Then there was heavy mosquito spurt on the night we arrived. This is thought to be common thing at the city apparently but it's not that prominent on other 2 nights. We guess the rooms did not have other guests for some days and so dormant mosquitoes started flying around after our arrival. This is serious health risk for visiting guests. They need to fumigate rooms regularly when mosquitoes are known to be breeding around. Also we'd purchase anti-mosquito liquid vaporizer(Goodnight brand) to reduce the mosquitoes in the room. Geyser was not working and had to be reset twice by room service. Kettle was not working in some rooms. Our room had TV mount but no TV probably out for repair. Another room had TV but was not working. Room service called technicians to fix it. Overnight security and room service were not always present at desk and had to be ringed up for any service at C block. The clean crew did arrive after 9 PM on request. Contains multiple venues for different events. And spacious too. But what we found odd is there are no handwash sinks provided by the hotel to those locations. Caterers had to bring in large water containers with taps. This was surprising for us as we expect multiple wash basins(or long handwash troughs) near the halls or outdoor event spots. And we can only wash our hands and not allowed to gargle our mouths. Maybe this is how it's done in this part of the country but still feel like disadvantage in large hotels like this. Also there doesn't seem to be water scarcity issue here with since every room has bathrooms with sinks. Another odd thing was with janitors sweeping the dining hall floor only after we settled with breakfast at the table. And started moping too as we're having breakfast. That too we'd arrived for breakfast after 9:30 AM. Ideally they'd have cleaned the hall early morning. This is not typical complaint as an disgruntled wedding attendees who find the reason against wedding arrangements. This is actually strong critical feedback against hotel management for lethargic service when clients pay so much for venue host grand events.

perfect resort to host function. we had a gala time at my friends wedding. superb interior, huge auditorium, ample parking space, Spacious and clean rooms. park and swimming pool was major attraction for kids.

Nice place. Good place for big events like marriage functions. Has big AC halls, Rooms and open Lawns . A well marked huge parking space is also available.

Good parking space and interiors done very well. Washrooms were not clean last time. I went there to attend some functions. Only recommended for high class parties and functions as the cost is very high.
