Hotel Laxmi Palace

This establishment is situated in proximity to the old bus stand in Jagdalpur. It is conveniently located near the airport and the railway station. The rates are reasonable. I was afforded a complimentary upgrade to an executive room despite having reserved only a standard air-conditioned room. The conduct of the staff was commendable. Numerous dining establishments are accessible in the vicinity. Toiletries were supplied. The air conditioning unit ceased functioning at midnight; however, I did not notify the staff, who indicated that had I informed them, they would have addressed the issue. Upon checkout, I inquired about the possibility of utilizing a room later for a brief refresh, and they graciously agreed. On a negative note, the room had somewhat unpleasant odour and there was leakage in pipe in washroom. Nonetheless, it is a commendable hotel considering the price.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days. Good reviews led me to book this hotel. The entrance lobby is very substandard. Please do not go by the nice pictures. I reached the hotel at 6.00 am. The guy who man's the counter was sleeping in the lobby. Waited for an hour for him to get up. Ofcourse he said I am too early for check in. Yes my train from vizag reached Jagdalpur at 5.00. I requested him to allow me to take shower and keep the brief case at the hotel. He is a nice guy and courteous who obliged my need. I came back in the evening. Was allocated a room which was decent looking but many mosquitos. Beds are very old and one would sink into them. The air in the room is very stale. As usual they change the bed sheets on insistence. Come out of the room, you can see dustbins, dried laundry etc. Not a good sight. For food one has to go searching. Transport is easily available from the hotel, a plus point. Overall my rating is 2.5 stars. I do not know why people write glorious reviews, may be the staff at the counter who are very cordial request to put in a good review but the fact is people like me are mislead and have a disappointing stay. One should give honest and actual facts.

The rooms looks decorated but the walls need repainting. The bathrooms are small. The rooms are smelly but they were cleaned, and in one of the rooms, the AC was not working properly. The ambience of the hotel is damp and not pleasing. The price of the rooms is not worth it.

The hotel was budget friendly and good for short duration. The hotel stuffs are very helpful and courteous. We arrived early and they provided us early check in with room upgradation with no extra cost. A suggestion for the management: more cleanliness can attract customers and help uplift the business.

The appearance of the Hotel is truly beautiful. The rooms are very nice and tidy.The behaviour of the staffs are very friendly. I came here with my family and I came in Jagdalpur for the first time. I really highly recommend this place to stay. Thank you Hotel Lakshmi Palace for make us feel comfortable.
