Hostel Relax Homestay

The mattress was awful, and concrete would feel softer than what we were sleeping on, wifi didn't work, no hot water for shower, breakfast was okay for the first day, then it was this awful cereal and the milk made us sick and top it off we booked a tour with them for a set price of 3,000 rupees and they tried making us pay an extra 200 and instead of a tour guide taking us the hostel man took us in his car instead. Would not stay again. Or recommend.

This hostel owner Mukesh is so nice guy and kind person you can trust. About hotel: Price is reasonable Room and toilet is clean Location is good About Mukesh family : I stayed 9 nights in this hotel, I was supposed to stay here 2 nights first tho. The reason I extended is that I was so comfortable here. Every night I spent a time with him at a roof top where you might like. Also he and his wife took me to his friend wedding party and movie show. I never forget this memory with them in my life. Thank u for everything!!

I don't like to write this type of review but I like to contribute with the reviews. It also seems that we got this bad experience. We arrived to the property around 2pm. I had the booking and the confirmation that we were ok arriving at that time. The person who opened the door didn't know what booking we had. She gave us a room that was not clean, she got mad with the guy that had to clean the room and didn't do it. He started cleaning the room that had cigarettes all around the place, it smell really bad and the toilet was super dirty. The guy changed the sheets and "clean" the floor and they thought perfume around. The lady said we didn't have to pay because it's not normal situation for them. We slept there and we woke up with the noise from the street around 7am. We went to ask for a proper cleaning of the toilet and the room but they just said in one hour. At that moment we decided to go because the room was smelling bad and it was impossible to sleep or take a shower. We are very sorry for this review and I tried to explain with facts (leaving emotions aside).

I think it's one and only Backpackers Hostel available in Gaya region. The rates are extremely affordable, the rooms are clean, staff is helpful, location is prime near the railway station and easily accessible to other nearby tourism spots of Vishnupad temple, Bodh gaya and bus stop for Nalanda. It also offers parking space, roof top & DIY kitchen. I was surprised to know there are no hostels in foreign tourist attractions like Gaya. The owner Mukesh is doing an extremely good job. With little cleanliness, staff professionalism and renovation it can become the best. I'll urge everyone especially Backpackers to stay here and support Mukesh to build a backpacking culture in Gaya.

Stayed for 4 days. The location is quite near to the railway station. Mukesh is a nice person who helps in guiding the tourists with going around the nearby attractions and also responds to your queries quickly. The rooms,beds are clean and comfortable. They also provide free breakfast. So was a pleasant experience.

It was very lovely being here! The family was very sweet and kind, helped me a lot. The shower is clean with a strong stream of water. They have a beautiful roof top with a nice view and its very close to the train station.

Very clean, neat and large bathroom with western toilet. the bed dorm was also neat and clean with very large lockers. Mattress was nice and comfortable. lovely friendly dogs and puppies. nice and relaxing atmosphere on rooftop with chilled music. Mukesh and Neha are a lovely couple to chat with. Will come back again.
