Nobody will tell you that it's located in an almost inhabited remote location and the service alongwith amenities ate pathetic. Its almost inside a village where power goes off indefinitely and frequently, while the heat and mosquitoes make life miserable the staff is always reluctant to start the power backup service. Do not book a room here.

I think this hotel was super worth it for what you pay for. The staff were super accommodating & listened to any concerns, as well as helping us with booking stuff. The hotel owner was very friendly too - we enjoyed ourselves :)
Namo Buddha Hotel is very good and we got a very good room. Arrangement was made to sit and eat in the room and there is a restaurant inside it as well. The cook of the restaurant made very good food and the GM sahab there is very nice. I am very thankful to the hotel and all the hotel staff.
The hotel is very good, the accommodation and food arrangements have also been kept very good, the manager who has gone there at present is very good, who has been kept on the post of indra ji GM Saheb.
Nice property, good location and staff behaviour nice room quality is very nice in bodhagaya
It was a great experience. Staffs were highly well behaved and the room service is quite good. They respond to each query and request as promptly as placed. They even organised an excellent new year party which was absolutely unexpected for us. Food also tasted good. Easy check in and check out process. No disturbance at all. No issues of transportation as it is situated right next to bypass road and autos and e-rickshaws are available at ease. The view from our room was amazing and it was sun facing which made us see the sun rising. Overall excellent experience. A must check out for the 1st timers in Bodhgaya.

Our Bodhgaya trip began quite pleasantly. ||||The hotel owner & 2 staff came to collect us from the railway station and take us back to the hotel around midnight. The ride was pleasant and the owner a friendly and likeable guy.||||When we arrived at the Namo Buddha, a medium sized hotel in the middle of fields of sand and 2.5kms from Bodhgaya itself, we were shown to our room... "the honeymoon suite" as the owner referred to it.||||Some photographs of our rooms are attached to help with this explanation. ||||The room was filled with crickets, roaches and other flying insects. The two spartan beds had dirty sheets and pillows and the walls of the room were stained with greasy dirt and dust. After a brief discussion on whether we could even possibly spend one night there before finding alternative accommodation we decided to first ask to see a different room.||||The owner seemed a bit put out that we would be dissatisfied but offered to show us two other, "clean" rooms. We obligingly followed him up to the next floor where he attempted to show us two other rooms, both of which already had occupants when he unlocked and opened their doors!||||We decided to leave and called to wake up our travel agent in Delhi to organise a transfer. He reserved a room in another hotel for us but the only means of transport was Namo Buddha's driver as it was now almost 2AM.||||When we went to the reception to request a ride to the other hotel the staff were locked in the office watching tv and refused to answer the door when we knocked. Eventually we made enough noise that the guy came out, on the phone to our travel agent, who advised me they'd agreed to drive us there. After he hung up the phone he told us that the transfer was not possible that evening and we could go in the morning. We stood our ground and the owner got involved, again telling us that it was too late and they couldn't take us.||||Our travel agent called back and talked to them again and eventually they agreed to drive us to the next hotel. When we arrived they demanded 600 rupees for taxi fare but we refused to pay.||||I can not possibly recommend that anyone would stay in this hotel.||My intent is not to slander the Namo Buddha but to provide an accurate account of our experience to help others from suffering the same situation!
