Hotel Tathagat Bodhgaya

Location: The hotel is conveniently located close to the main temple, making it easily accessible for visitors. Check-in Experience: Upon arrival, we faced an unpleasant attitude from the reception staff. Despite booking online for two nights, we were constantly asked different questions and felt they were trying to impose additional charges. Room Condition: The condition of the room was disappointing. It lacked proper maintenance, smelled mouldy, and had a significant number of cockroaches everywhere. We even saw a rat running in the hallway. The provided slippers were old, the blanket was smelly, and the bathroom towels appeared heavily overused and old. Service: There was no room service throughout our stay. We stayed for two nights and did not see any staff attending to the rooms. Amenities: The amenities did not meet our expectations. The overall state of the hotel indicated that it was in dire need of upkeep. Recommendation: Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel to others.

Worst restaurant ever. Do not go there. Staff is so rude and they also keep the place dirty and unhygienic. I told staff that the table was dirty, he said this is not dirty at all and talked very rudely. They don't have basic civic sense to deal with their customers.

Good service and very near to the Mahabodhi temple. Food quality is good. Situated in prime location makes the commute easier.

Pathetic and unhygienic food. Dead cockroaches were found in the Chappati basket. When the matter was informed to the management, they showed arrogance. *NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL*

We had a lovely stay and extended our stay at tathagat for the LOCATION of the hotel is Perfect just close to mandir talking of rooms was very clean and service was well looked food was fresh and the staff were very attentive and helpful and would like to suggest the hotel to all who wants a comfortable peaceful n close to temple stay

The rooms are very clean and comfortable; you get the value for the money you pay. Mahabodhi temple is just at a stone's throw from the hotel. The food is good and the staff is professional. Parking is on the streetside in front of the hotel, but it is safe. Overall, it was a good experience of staying here. I would prefer to stay again on my next visit.
