Hotel Tropical Daisy

This is kind of a serviced apartment setting hotel next to busy Dhaka area of Gulshan. Room was decent, but window screens were torn at places while mosquitoes were plentiful inside room. Mosquito repellent liquid was not provided, and only after multiple requests it was finally made available. Toilet was basic, but hot water was available on demand. No tea/coffee service provided in room, and not water boiler either. Breakfast that was provided was very basic, but tasty. Overall, average place to stay for short periods.

I paid for a Deluxe room, but got a Standard instead. I was told that I originally had chosen the Standard room. As far as I understand, the photos of the rooms are mostly graphically enhanced that can really lure your attention, but in reality the true picture is different.

Had an absolutely horrible experience here. Apparently, their door guard can yell at you for bringing a guest at night and the whole stuff do nothing. His extremely rude behavior was absolutely horrifying. Never going there again.

Best value for money in Dhaka City. I loved the room decorations, lighting and the location (lake-side). What I loved the most is the spacious corridors with sitting area, ironing facility and microwave oven (as shown in the photo). This is rare in this price range. Only reason for the 4 star review is because the staffs could have been a little more friendly. Again, staying here is worth every penny. Just make sure you book ahead so that you get the room you want.

Location is good however the worst experience i have had in any hotel in last 10 years that I have stayed. I would never recommend this hotel. It has been the most excruciating experience in my lifetime. Rejwan

Good location and great service at affordable prices, however, the hotel building (a converted apartment complex) is quite old and the rooms need renovation. I don't recommend going there if old buildings/rooms are a dealbreaker for you. There are better options available at similar prices. I gave it a 4 instead of 3 only because of service; the staff were really friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was OK.
