We stayed in the pool villa and were very pleased. It was private, had a stunning view of the jungle and you could hear the river below. The walls are beautifully carved and the private pool was wonderful although a little chilly. It's spacious and clean. The free mini bar was a nice plus. The hotel lobby is filled with gorgeous statues and the grounds are meticulously maintained with flowers everywhere. The staff is super friendly and we really enjoyed the welcome drink with an expanding bamboo napkin. It is hilly but there is prompt buggy service to take you anywhere. We highly recommend.

I can give all 5 stars to this place. This resort is away from ubud town on the banks of ayung river with spectacular views and greenery. This resort itself is a vibe. Also, we were amazed by their hospitality. We were provided free breakfast and afternoon tea with snacks during our stay and we enjoyed the delicacies here. Special mention to Gus and Teni who greets us with a warm smile everyday in the restaurant and its 10/10 for their great service. Overall its a memorable and pleasant stay here.

Rating: 3.5/5||Ayung Resort is a sprawling, hilly property surrounded by incredibly lush greenery. It's spacious, with many buildings scattered across the grounds. The resort describes itself as an "art resort"--though personally, I found the aesthetic more on the kitschy side than truly artistic.||The rooms were a bit of a letdown: dark, slightly damp, and quite basic. Bathrooms were minimal at best. It definitely doesn't live up to a luxury resort standard, but for those who don't mind simplicity, it could be a decent fit.||That said, there are highlights. Afternoon tea (served from 3 to 6 PM) is a pleasant touch. The view from the cafe and main restaurant building is stunning--you get a clear sight of the nearby hill and distant mountains, making for a truly serene scene. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.||Just a heads-up: the resort is quite remote. Getting a Grab or Gojek can be difficult, so plan accordingly.||Overall, it's not a 5-star experience, but for a nature-filled, quiet, and budget-friendly stay, it might be just right for some.

Fantastic experience in this calm, peaceful, green jungle retreat. Beautiful surroundings, I can't fault any aspect of our stay. Everyone here is so helpful and friendly, the rooms are perfect. I don't think I've eaten tastier smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast!

Set in the rain forest, this hotel is outside Ubud and quite remote. We staying for 4 nights and loved it! We had a room in the actual hotel (there are villas in the grounds) which overlooked the swimming pool. The room was lovely - big 4 poster bed, lovely bathroom, very clean with all you'd want with great views of the rain forest. The staff are delightful - they always used our names, always so friendly and beautifully dressed in traditional uniforms. The food was the best we've ever had on holiday (we've done a separate review on this), suffice to say, delicious and all freshly cooked. They also do afternoon tea between 4-6 which is included in your stay, again delicious.|I had a Balinese massage with Sri, just wonderful (bit steep down to the spa but they took me and picked me up). We also had a half day tour with Yogi, which was great even though it rained! Some great information and took me to where I wanted to go. |We also did the cookery class and made a traditional Balinese meal with the brilliant chef Landra and his helpers, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and then ate the results, delicious, we learnt so much about their spices and food.|The swimming pool was nice, quite warm and padded sun beds and parasols. Also monkeys around tho didn't bother us.|It was very quiet as end of rainy season, and we found all the staff to be friendly and attentive. We had a very early checkout after having to stay an extra day due to ferrys not running (very pleased to have this) and they provided us both with breakfast boxes to take with us - nothing was too much trouble, and the prices were remarkably cheap!|We've missed leaving there, and would like to compliment the management and staff for our wonderful stay at this remarkable hotel in the middle of the rain forest, thank you.

The hotel is located in the beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle, on the hill, and everywhere are beautiful sculptures, decorations. The restaurant at the hotel is amazing - food quality and service are top of the top! The hotel is far from Ubud, so it's rather a location if you want to go to Mt. Batur or to do the nearby rafting (very recommended to see the jungle this way). The basic room we had was ok - very big, with all needed facilities but it's not the newest. Cleaning twice a day.
