Abisena Wellness and Resort Ubud

This hotel is really special and I couldn't recommend it more. They really think of every detail to make your stay perfect and go over and above. There were so many little surprises that made us smile and made our trip so memorable. The scenery is beautiful and the facilities are all pristinely maintained. It is more beautiful than the photos! Staff are all so kind and welcoming. Spa treatments were amazing - we went 3 times and this is really a must for whilst you're staying here. We also enjoyed other activities offered by the hotel such as sunset yoga and the morning walk.||My only small pieces of constructive feedback are that breakfast was served cold a few times and a few of the menu descriptions were not totally accurate. However, these are very minor critiques and did not impact our stay negatively whatsoever. ||When we hopefully return to Ubud again one day I know we will return to this hotel without a doubt. It is a truly special place.

5/5 - A Truly Special Balinese Escape at Abisena||||Our stay at Abisena was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and care. The hotel strikes a beautiful balance between authentic Balinese charm, wellness-focused experiences, and modern comfort.||||We stayed in the Royal Suite, and were personally greeted by the General Manager, Mr. Parka, who kindly walked us to our room. The path to the suite is a lovely little jungle walk--so peaceful and scenic. The suite itself was stunning: a gorgeous copper tub, lush greenery all around, a private outdoor balcony jacuzzi and a bed that honestly felt like we were sleeping on a cloud.||||We chose the five-night wellness package, and it was truly worth every moment. It included daily massages, healthy and delicious full-board meals, unique excursions, and a calming nightly herbal bath ritual made with over 128 herbs. Everything felt thoughtful and intentional. ||Ms. Dewa Sri Dewi, the wellness manager--was fantastic. She went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable and happy. She's a gem.||||We also really appreciated the little touches--like the welcome and spa pennywort drinks ( refreshing and full of antioxidant benefits), the peaceful atmosphere, and the Balinese dance performances during dinner. They made us feel truly immersed in the culture.||||Abisena may be new, but they're doing everything right. If you're looking for a place to relax, reconnect, and experience the heart of Bali, this is it. We left feeling refreshed, rebalanced, and so grateful.

A Peaceful Jungle Retreat in Ubud - Perfect for a Relaxing Weekend This resort in Ubud is a fantastic escape into nature, offering the perfect setting for a tranquil weekend getaway. The property is relatively new, in excellent condition, and boasts breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jungle. We especially loved spending time at the infinity pool overlooking the lush greenery, sipping on the complimentary evening cocktails while enjoying live traditional music played by the staff. Mornings started beautifully with yoga sessions facing the rice fields, which added a serene and grounding touch to our stay. Beyond the stunning setting, what truly stood out was the warm hospitality. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel right at home. The resort's smaller, more intimate size created a friendly and familiar atmosphere, where we even got to connect with other guests through the resort's curated activities. One of the highlights was the morning walk through the rice fields and village. It was relaxing and insightful, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythms and peaceful lifestyle of the local Balinese community in Keliki. Overall, this is a highly recommended resort for anyone looking to unwind in nature, connect with local culture, and enjoy personalized, heartfelt hospitality in the heart of Ubud.

Our breakfasts overlooking the garden became a sacred little ritual we looked forward to each morning.||We also want to highlight the amazing work of the manager, who not only runs the resort with remarkable precision and grace, but clearly brings a deep passion and soul to the place. Thanks to his leadership, the entire team is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind.||It's the people that truly give Abisena its soul - their sincerity, smiles, and subtle attentiveness made us feel not like guests, but like part of something more meaningful. Their natural kindness and hospitality made this place feel like home - only far more beautiful.||It's hard to believe, but the resort is even more stunning in person than it looks in the photos. The atmosphere, the light, the energy of the place - it all goes far beyond what any picture can capture.||Abisena is not just about luxury or comfort. Abisena is a unique facility located surrounded by jungle and rice fields (you must be aware that it is accompanied by normal and obvious sounds coming straight from nature). All employees did their best to make our stay a truly unique experience. We would especially like to thank our reliable drivers. Yogi and Ardy are wonderful employees who did everything they could to make every trip with them pleasant and interesting. We would also like to thank the staff of the hotel restaurant Runara - Dora - she was very nice and always helpful. The meals at the facility are of a very high standard, a very good convenience is the free transfer to the center of Ubud and other daily attractions offered by the hotel - we were especially impressed by the morning tour around the area. Our room was 100% as described and made a great impression, the heated swimming pool is a really great convenience.

We had the most amazing experience staying four nights at this brand new hotel. The location is very nice, right in the middle of rice fields and jungle on the valley side, only a small distance away from buzzing Ubud. Nature lovers: if you're lucky, you might spot the Javan Kingfisher from your breakfast table (delicious food!), and fantastic jungle sounds that make you fall asleep in a heartbeat. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and will go the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. We had fun exchanging languages! I had an incredible experience at the spa in Abisena Wellness & Resort Ubud. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff are amazing--so welcoming and professional. I had a 90-minute massage, and it was pure bliss. The oils they used were divine, and the whole experience was so relaxing. The treatment room itself was stunning, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. I loved it so much that I'll definitely be back--and one day, I'd love to stay at the resort too! Highly recommend.

We had the most incredible stay at Abisena Ubud! My husband and I traveled there for our 20th anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a truly special and memorable experience.|We stayed in a Terrace Pool Villa, which was absolutely divine. We made full use of the private pool, swimming every day, and unwinding in the luxurious bathtub to warm up. Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about visiting during the rainy season, but let me tell you--it was completely worth it. Some of our most magical moments were spent in the pool as the rain poured down around us, creating a soul-cleansing, almost meditative experience.|Our stay was made even more special with spa treatments and a gong bath healing ceremony, both of which were truly incredible. But what really set Abisena apart was their exceptional customer service. Here are just a few ways they went the extra mile for us:|* We booked our trip extremely last minute due to unexpected changes, giving them only three days' notice, yet everything was flawlessly prepared for our arrival.|* I have severe dietary restrictions due to a chronic health condition, and the staff took extraordinary care to accommodate me. They even helped me enjoy meals off-menu to ensure I wouldn't get ill (see my separate review of Runara restaurant for more details).|* Upon arrival, we were greeted with a stunning floral bath arrangement, a gluten-free vegan anniversary cake, and a beautiful bouquet of roses--a thoughtful surprise that we weren't expecting.|* One evening, our air conditioning unexpectedly malfunctioned on our way to dinner, but by the time dessert arrived, the issue had already been resolved!|* On the morning of our departure, they packed our favorite breakfasts to go, making our early airport trip so much smoother.|* The rooms were always spotless and fresh, and the nightly turndown service included lighting a coil for mosquitoes, preparing the nets, and leaving delicious snacks. We even had a little gecko in the roof of our villa, who became our tiny, chatty resident friend. (Just keep doors closed--after all, you're in the jungle!)|* The complimentary shuttle service was fantastic for getting around.|* We booked a private tour of Ubud, and our driver, Ardy, was incredibly accommodating, ensuring all activities suited our fitness level and schedule.|* The beds were on the firmer side but still very comfortable, and the blackout blinds made for a restful night's sleep.|* The live acoustic performer on Saturday and Wednesday nights had the most beautiful voice, making our dinners even more romantic.|* Every detail felt luxurious and high-class, with impeccable service from start to finish. A special shout-out to Wina, Winaya, Dora, Ami, and Puspita, who made our stay extra special, as well as the amazing cleaning crew and all the staff working behind the scenes.|* The free sundowners by the pool each evening were the perfect way to unwind, and the breathtaking views left us completely mesmerized.|* Because the restaurant is adults-only and boutique, we rarely saw other guests, creating a wonderfully intimate and private atmosphere. ||We've traveled extensively and always stay in luxury accommodations, and this was one of our most relaxing and favorite holidays of all time. I'd place it on par with Jaya House in Cambodia, which is our personal top-ranked experience worldwide. In fact, this was the first holiday where we never even turned the TV on--we were so engaged with our surroundings, the incredible views, and the experiences on offer that we never felt the need.|If you have the chance, book your stay at Abisena Ubud now before it becomes even more popular--you won't regret it!
