Villa Canggu by Plataran

Had such a great stay! From the moment I arrived, the staff was super friendly and helpful--big shoutout to Mas Tulus for going above and beyond. I even got a surprise room upgrade, which totally made my day! The hospitality was top-notch, the food was insanely delicious, and the whole experience felt like a mini vacation I didn't want to end.

This is a wonderful hotel that is not the standard Bali holiday experience. ||The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, with a lovely pool and a very special atmosphere. It almost feels as if you are staying in a secret Balinese palace!||We stayed in a villa (with a private pool) which was very spacious, clean and comfortable, The breakfast was extremely good and all the staff who looked after us were exceptionally friendly, kind and eager to help.||WORTH KNOWING |The Plataran is located in a side street in Canggu away from the beach. There is not much close by that you can walk to which threw us at first but please bear in mind two things.||Firstly, the hotel offers free rides into nearby Seminyak which had good shopping, a nice range of cafes, a lovely beach and great seafront restaurants (try Seasalt as a treat). |Tanah Lot Temple is also not too far away and worth a visit especially if you stay for the fire dance. ||Secondly, perhaps change your mindset from a normal Bali beach holiday. We really enjoyed unwinding at the hotel. We had a lovely massage from the onsite therapist and did a great cooking course with the head chef. All this made our trip very special. So take the time to enjoy what the Plataran uniquely offers.

We have had wonderful eleven days at this resort. Really enjoyed the service, friendly staff, amenities and the atmosphere. Two local birds that live near the reception add quite a lot and became good friends of our kids. If you are looking for a place to relax, go to spa and unwind Plataran Canggu is the right place for you.

Had a relaxing weekend here! Stay was wonderful, food was good, everyone is being so helpful especially Pak Tulus, who always greet us and help us to make everything easier! Another highlight is the room, very spacious and quiet, a perfect spot for weekend gateaway! Will be back!

Well worth get away with friends in the middle of Canggu, one of the busiest region in Bali. The 2 night stay was well worth it for a short trip to refresh and relax away from my routine. Huge props to Tulus and Rani, who take cares of us and offer anticipation needs during our trip.

It was our first time visiting Bali and stayed in Villa Canggu by Plataran for 8 nights in September, 2024. As soon as we entered had such a warm welcome from the Front Office Team. We were staying in a garden villa. The location was perfect as it was right next to the restaurant and the main pool but at the same time it felt so private surrounded by all the greenery, beautiful plants and colourful flowers. You can spot butterflies, squirrels and the guineafowls in the garden, it is a mini jungle with incredible environment. The staff is always making sure and works so hard to keep the gardens tidy and clean. Also have its own grown vegetables and fruits in the garden what they use for their menu, Fahmi kindly showed us around all the plants and process. Had the most relaxing massage, professional service in a luxurious spa room, highly recommend trying the Padma Marmabyangam massage from the menu. Our villa was spacious and always spotless, housekeeping always makes sure you feel like home. We had the pleasure to take part in a private cooking class, using their home grown ingredients and get to know the traditional authentic Balinese kitchen. The restaurant in Villa Canggu is a top class, by far the best we have ever tasted. You must try it whlist stay, you will get addicted to the flavours! All the kind faces in the restaurant, bar, garden, spa, kitchen, housekeeping, front of house who made sure we get the best service at all the time. Just to name a few, Dika always made fabulous mocktails, Rai always gave us the best recommendation to try from the menu, lovely Dela, Dila, Trisna always making sure we have the most professional, excellent service. Every single member of the big team are so genuine, professional and kind hearted, totally spoilt us. They have such a high standard and really care so much for their guests. Can't thank you enough for everything, you made our holiday truly special, unique and forever memorable!

This is the oldest Plataran property, so the villa is a bit rundown. The overall ambiance is quiet and peaceful with a very strong traditional design. Surrounded by greeneries, it's actually a nice place to unwind and relax. Here are the reviews. Pros: 1) the staff are very friendly and responsive. I'm so touched by the gesture from the reception who sending me coconut water and hot ginger when I told her that i was sick. 2) They provided me a box of cookies and also personal note handwritten on a leaf, which gives a very nice touch to the hospitality 3) the staff was very responsive, they came immediately when I requested for something Cons 1) room is already very old. It can be brighten a bit and seems the roof needs to be changed. Some small particles kept falling from the roof, making the floor dirty all the time. The shower is also already very old, with watermark everywhere. I prefer hotel with shiny and clean shower. 2) breakfast selection is limited and not too special 3) the location of the hotel is not easy to reach and it's super heavy traffic near the hotel. Also there was road construction right in front of the hotel road so it's so difficult to go in and out from the hotel Overall, I'm impressed by the hospitality but the hotel needs to be refurbished to maintain the quality.

fantastic Services and our family was really looked after well. Great food great cooking courses.. will be definitely coming back here again . Agung was amazing spa therapist.. The chefs are amazing here too. Very comfortable stay . No planning a trip with our friends here.
