I had a beautiful stay at Grun Resort. I booked one of the Ocean View Villas and that was just amazing. The resort is beautifully located in nature and it is extremely calm which I appreciated a lot. It's an oasis in Uluwatu. Further, the staff especially at the front desk and also for housekeeping are extremely friendly and helpful. I felt in very good hands. Last but not least, every morning there is a complementary yoga and meditation class which I joined almost everyday. It felt a bit like I'm on a retreat.:)

This was our second time staying at Grun and it was amazing. The gym, sauna and recovery area is stunning and doing Pilates in the new space they have created is unreal!! Couldn't ask for a more relaxing place to spend your time. You will not want or need to leave the pool area as it is better than any day club, the food and drinks are so good. The staff are so welcoming and helpful and everything is so well thought out. Having breakfast with the best view in Uluwatu is unmatched. Thank you to the staff for another amazing stay. I would recommend to anyone to stay here and we will definitely be back again!
Staying at this resort was truly one of the best experiences I've ever had. I want to give a special thank you to Mita and Ayu -- your kindness and attention to detail made my stay even more special. Every single staff member was incredibly kind and professional, always making sure guests felt comfortable and welcome. The room was in flawless condition -- clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. I genuinely felt relaxed and well taken care of throughout my stay. I would absolutely come back again without hesitation. Thank you for everything!
A wonderful hotel - we felt like we were in the jungle the whole time. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The food was excellent. Everything we needed was provided - towels, laundry service, room service, and daily housekeeping. We had it all. The pool was very clean. The massage was also very good. Highly recommend this hotel. 10/10.
The staff is very et nice and helpful, the kindness from the Balinese people is something that really we hardly experienced anywhere else in the world. The hotel has an amazing location, their pool area is beautiful with a wonderful view of Uluwatu and the ocean. They have a perfect spot for sunset drinks as well!! The rooms were a bit underwhelming but we probably didn't have the best room as we booked two days before. I strongly recommend for a short stay in Uluwatu!
Hands down one of the best stays we've had in Bali! Such a peaceful spot, hidden away in the hills, but still close enough to explore Uluwatu. The design is super unique, you can tell a lot of thought went into every little detail. It's rare to find a place that blends with nature so perfectly. Also Loved the gym and yoga area! Good equipment, and the open-air yoga space is super peaceful. Can't wait to come back!
I stayed for 4 nights. Don't believe the hype and pretty pictures - this place is bad. The positives first - staff on site were polite and attentive. Rooms, despite tired and poorly made - were cleaned very well. Hotel has a good spa at a decent price. Restaurant food while not fancy was but reliably good. Comfortable bed. The rest was a disappointment. Pool area has few sunbeds that are mostly unusable because there's zero shade. The entire pool deck gets blazing hot from the early morning onwards. In the afternoon once the sun turns the whole place is like sauna. Of the little shade there is you likely won't find any to use because the hotel welcomes external 'laptop guests' for a day. Pool is small, shallow and ridiculously warm. I had to pay for a beach club and spend my time elsewhere. There's a Bali-style mess of a construction site right in front of the pool deck. The hotel is on an aggressive expansion mission. The whole sustainability storyline they have is a joke. Landscaping is neglected, the garden/forest is muddy, with plastic trash and falling out pathway tiles. Road leading to the place is broken to pieces by construction traffic. Everything is built and fitted out very cheaply. My bathroom wall was rotting away to the point I could probably pull all the taps and pipes out. Floorboards were coming apart and letting the mosquitoes in. There are tons of mosquitoes around the hotel because the grounds are littered with abandoned standing water bowls meant to be fish ponds. I dont know how one can do a morning yoga here - you'll be consumed alive.
Absolutely loved our stay at Grun! My partner and I came here with our friends, and we all had such an amazing time. The Treehouse Villa we stayed in was stunning - it felt like a Japanese-style treehouse, surrounded by lush greenery, making the whole place feel super peaceful. One of the highlights was definitely the restaurant and pool area up on the hill - the ocean views from there were insane, especially at sunset. The food was really good too, especially breakfast. We also loved the little details, like the evening bonfires where guests could just sit and relax. Overall, such a unique and relaxing place. Can't recommend it enough!
