Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel

I stopped by Discovery Kartika's poolside for a quick smoothie and lunch, and it was a lovely experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I had their club sandwich and two mango smoothies (because the first one was so good). While the club sandwich was decent, it didn't quite hit the mark - perhaps the chicken pieces were too big, or it wasn't a traditional triple-layer sandwich. The bacon was also a bit too chewy. However, the hotel's grounds are stunning, with a beautiful lagoon-style pool and pool bar. The beachfront location is perfect. I noticed they have theme BBQ nights, a kids' play area, and outdoor games like table tennis, which looked like great options. The restaurant is spacious, with another upscale option overlooking the ocean. Overall, a great spot to visit!

What a wonderful place to stay..all of the staff have been absolutely amazing when we needed them .They have all been perfectly helpful and polite in every way. The facilities are fantastic. Lovely pool and bar areas with live music every evening overlooking kuta bay.. Great breakfast every day and our room was just ideal. We would love to return on our next trip to Bali.. 4.5 stars. Stayed for 3 nights. Hotel had security and metal detector to enter. Check in was smooth. Room (2000) is large but getting dated. Bathroom is better than most. Smart TV. Balcony has a nice view overlooking the pool area. However the balcony doors do not block the outdoor light well. AC unit struggled a bit. Bed is huge and mostly comfortable. Free water is included every day. Breakfast buffet was included and very good. It was a bit pricey for what you get based on other hotels available I'm the area.

We had an incredible evening at this restaurant. My girlfriend and I ordered the wagyu beef, and it was honestly one of the best meals we've ever had -- rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. What made the experience even more special was the atmosphere. A talented pianist played live music during our dinner, which added a romantic and elegant touch to the whole evening. The service was outstanding. Ulan and Kumala took care of us with warmth and professionalism, making sure we felt welcome and relaxed throughout the night. A special thank you also to Kadek, who made us some of the most delicious cocktails we've had in Bali -- truly a master behind the bar. This place is a must-visit if you're looking for high-quality food, great drinks, live music, and top-notch service. / Kevin

Had a great staycation at Discovery Kartika Plaza. Even though the hotel shows its age, it was pretty well maintained due to the recent renovation. The hotel facilities are quite extensive and the prices (room and food) are affordable for a 5 star hotel. There's a pedestrian access directly to the Discovery Mall next door and Kuta Beach. While this hotel does not currently have a private beach, one is currently being built with completion due in 1 year.Some suggestions from me for further improvements: even though I'm of an average height, I found the twin bed to be a tad too small (my feet went beyond the edge). I also think that smart tv in every room should be a standard nowadays, especially if this hotel is marketing itself to be family friendly. Please also check that the room amenities are in good condition (the shower tap in my room was broken), and lastly, while the breakfast is pretty good, I think the varieties could be extended more (e.g. Indomie bar, made-to-order food/drink bar)

Absolutely loved our stay in Kartika Plaza, from the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming and attentive. We were two couples who stayed in Villa 3, the accommodation was spotless, with everything we needed and exceeded our expectations, the added butler service was also a really nice touch! The hotel is in an excellent location to explore the surrounding area. The pool in the villa was great for cooling off and we never had any trouble finding a lounger around the main pool at the hotel, if we wanted a change of scenery. I would certainly stay here again if I am visiting Bali.

We can 100% recommend the Steakhouse Restaurant El Jardin. Our waitress Evi is very friendly and attentive. The bar tender Kadek is mixing the best Virgin Mojito of the Island. Perfect Medium Rib-eye. Live Pianoplayer Hendrick accompanied our Dinner in a lovely way. Thank you for everything. Seeya next year :-}
