Hotel Basant

Very efficient and well-trained staff body. Each member of management and staff has warm smiles and is very polite. Very clean hallways and rooms. Food is excellent and they deserve my 5/5 on their food. Their bakery downstairs (Delight) has some pretty good food too. Had a very pleasant stay here.

I am vacilating between a 3/5 and 4/5 for the Basant because it is definitely above average for the budget hotel category. I had a single room for 350R per night which is outstanding given that the hotel is clean and the room was fairly well equiped. The hotel is conveniently located in the central market area. The scene was set with a very clean stairway up to the reception area on the first floor - something which immediately set it apart from most other budget places. The hallway smelled good too. The room had a small single bed with good clean linen, towel, soap and toilet paper plus TV and a couple of fans. There was a good, cold water-only shower. The receptionist spoke enough English to understand and be helpful. ||||There is an upstairs restaurant that I did not use. There are also several restaurants within a block or 2 of the Basant.||||The only thing that I disliked was the smell of naphthalene from the mothball things placed in each of the drain outlets. I think I prefer the small of bad drains to that cloying chemical smell.||||The Basant is very popular, probably because it is such a good budget option. I had made a reservation the day before which was a good thing because it was booked out when I arrived in mid-afternoon. This hotel is recommended for those on a budget who also want to be centrally located.

This is one of the best budget hotel I have stayed. We were around 10 people and we got 5 rooms. It was a mix of 3 double bed rooms and 2 single bedrooms with three people sharing two double bed rooms. The total cost of the rooms was around 3500, which was around 350 per person. The rooms were well maintained and the bathrooms were in excellent condition keeping in mind the price. The manager was a very helpful person, who also arranged for a Sumo to take us to Bomdila, which was our next destination. If anyone wants to stay in Tezpur, Hotel Basant is an excellent choice.

I was on a business trip to tezput and satyed over there. Thr hotel staff is good and helpful. They have arranged everything which i have needeed. The room is good and spacious. The room service is also good. The food quality needs to improved. Rest all everything is fine.

I'm staying in a small room that's about 4 feet wide and 10 feet long. The attached bathroom didn't have a sink for the first two days. The water didn't come through the shower until the third day. The room and bathroom are clean though, which is the most important. The front door of the hotel closes at 11 pm. Haven't had the food.

Budget friendly place for travellers. They have ac, non-ac, single and double bed room respectively. Rooms are clean. No foul smell. Nice and friendly staff.

I stayed for 1 night there. Hotel is good if your needs are basic. Toilet is a little old, But its doeable. Room service is quick and well behaved. Overall its a nice experience.
