Highly overpriced. Room rent & Food quality don't match with the price . Dogs & puppies move around the campus & damaged our shoes kept on verandah. When the matter was brought to the knowledge of the caretaker, he said he isn't responsible for this, he has a very sharp mouth & not fit for such job. Not recommend this place at all . Dear all... don't stay here

16th and 17th March, 2024 We stayed there for two days. Overall, our experience was good. The toilets were clean, and the surroundings were calm and peaceful. I want to draw the owner's attention to two things: an electric kettle and a dustbin inside the room. We missed these two items during our stay. Thank you.

A very cosy nice place with a friendly knowledeable owner and good staff. Homely environment. They have 9 decent hut type acco stays. Great guidance and services not only for Majuli but for off beat n cultural Northeast. Jyoti the owner is a grand storyteller and passionate. More updation after staying here, which I wish to do very soon, by next year.

Stayed at this homestay offering standalone concrete and bamboo houses, with ample parking space. It's a serene place with strict rules against late-night drinking or partying for a peaceful night's sleep. I'd recommend dining outside. The caretaker tends to stretch conversations, which can be a bit annoying. However, overall, it's a good place to relax. The owner provides helpful suggestions and assistance

Such a beautiful stay at Majuli. I traveled alone and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and very much at home when staying here. Jyoti sir is very knowledgeable and helpful. Munna is there for any assistance while Lohit prepares delicious food. I forgot to buy some books and Jyoti sir talked with a monk at Sri Sri Auniati Satra and ensured that I buy those books. He is very empathetic. I look forward to visiting Majuli again and this time during Sri Krishna Raas Leela festival time.

We stayed at Jyoti Home for 2 days in January 2018. The location of the property is quite good, neither very far from the main junction of Garamur, nor amidst much chaos. The homestay is a new one and has 4 cottages in the middle of a quiet and beautiful background. The amenities are basic and clean. The cottages are made of bamboo and it will give you a rustic feeling to your stay. It is quite ideal for those who are not looking for many luxuries and wants to experience the local Majuli.||Everything was quite well, but the caretaker was a bit confused over what to do with guests. The second night, he told us that we have to go out for having dinner, inspite of the fact that you could hardly get anything outside at the marketplace after evening. Well, we were served dinner after a phone call to the owner! Apart from this little incident, the stay at Jyoti Home was quite nice. It is a good option for budget travellers.

We stayed for 3 nights and all was well organized. Jyoti is an enthusiastic host but also gave us plenty of space. The cottages are sturdy and comfortable. The food could be improved,but we also found several places nearby with very good food. KFC (Krishna Fried Chicken) was an amazing surprise. We enjoyed our conversations with Jyoti ad learned a lot about Majuli and its unqiue culture.

Mr Jioti was very helpfull. The rooms are clean. The staff is trying hard to please us.. Very Good experianse!
