I will highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home. The ambience is quite warm and so is the hospitality of the staff and the host.|Hygiene has been maintained well, and if you're looking forward to enjoying some scrumptious traditional dishes, then you should definitely add it to your list.|Sipping my evening cup of tea at the verandah, amidst the green, lush and calm environment was my favorite part and I would love to experience it again.

We had booked the whole villa (all three rooms) for stay from 07.02.2025 to 08.02.2025. The condition of the rooms and service was so horrible that even two days stay seemed impossible. They charged so much amount of money for|1. Unhygienic rooms, bathrooms and kitchen|2. No geyser (sharing one for two rooms)|3. So many mosquitoes (they come inside through the holes of concrete ventilators)|4. No cupboards, hangers, mirror, TV, washbasin (we washed our hands and face in the same sink where they wash dishes), buckets and mugs were unusable and dirty.|5. We couldn't use any bedsheets, blankets or towels because they were dirty, torn and burnt.|We were a group of senior citizens, all of whom are retired government officials. We had made payment in advance. The owner did not respond to our calls. This was the worst experience of our life.|Request everyone to not stay in this place or at least check the amenities before booking.||
The ambience was so peaceful, cozy comfortable beds, clean toilets and definitely very helpful host and hospitable employees. The ethnic thalis are a must try. The host went out of the way to help and guide us with our ongoing travel plans. Definitely worth my money and stay as we were looking for a peaceful comfortable stay that had a very vintage touch yet the contemporary comforts of a modern stay. A permanent stay place for me, whenever I'm in Jorhat next time.
Very nice comfortable stay. It is not a hotel but a home converted to a hotel with 3 rooms. We liked this homely atmosphere and personal support staff. Hotel Rates were good, food is great and cheap. There are few negative points like cleanliness and maintenance of the property. It is a big property and only 1-2 person takes care of everything. So anyone who is particular about cleanliness and looking for a good star hotel experience then this is not a place to come. Location is also not good. It is outside the city and nothing nearby.
Serene and vintage would be two perfect words to describe Assam Villa. It was a pleasant "home away from home" experience for me, especially when I am travelling. In the day, you can enjoy the green foliage at Assam villa and in the evening, the entire house with fairy lights brings joy and peace... No doubt the food was awesome. You will get the best taste of ethnicity with Assamese cuisine. I still remember the juicy and tangy taste of Mowa maas-or pitika (fish) and duck with ash gourd. Food was served at its best. The bedroom was comfortable enough to beat tiredness after a twelve hour journey. One more unforgettable experience was the hospitality. Met Rishi Paullah, the owner. I must say everyone including him is very friendly and welcoming. They are ever-ready to offer their instant help when the customer faces any trouble.||Cutting it short, to feel the motherly hospitality amidst strangers in Jorhat town, one must visit Assam Villa a "home away from home". Thank you, Rishi Paullah for your warm hospitality....
Assam Villa retreat is one of the best property in the town , staff there were so humble and customer friendly. Best thing what I like is there " duck curry Assamese thali" , they provide you the best food with the essence of assam. Strongly recommended for your next stay.
This space feels like your personal home you are looking for. Cosy, comfy and beautiful atmosphere. Decent rooms, friendly staff and absolutely great food. You enter to the property and you will have amazing vibe. One must try for different teas there. Really made me feel at home. Highly recommended.
Altogether my stay was disappointing. The bathroom had not been cleaned and there was no hot water. A bright spot was the evening meal. They have no menu but seemed to be willing to make just about anything. I had a parotta with chicken masala. It was really good and the price was very reasonable. I would stay there again but I would ask for sheets for the bed and inspect the room for cleanliness before I accepted it. I think the owner really wants to improve his establishment. To be fair, this is as good if not better than other places I have stayed for about the same cost. During the night a family checked in and shouted most of the night and early in the morning. A rooster must have had his timing mixed up because he started crowing around 3:00 am and never stopped.
