Puroni Bheti Tea and Farm Retreat

This is an actual working estate within a tea plantation with an outhouse renovated for guests.|We were lucky to have the place to ourselves, and the weather was perfect for walks. We bumped into the estate manager who offered to accompany us and talk about the plantation. Good experience.||The rooms were okay - there are no televisions, though they have 24x7 wifi access.| We had some issues with water which were resolved. |The staff had to be told what we wanted for each meal, but that really wasn't a problem for us. The food was very good. ||We paid extra for the tea tasting which was not up to the mark and easily could have been avoided.||The staff was very friendly and the owner met us during our visit, though surprisingly the manager didn't. Perhaps he should make an effort to meet with guests as well. ||Overall better than what we expected after reading the other reviews here. |

Nice rooms..food was good and very tasty. The staff tried hard. But the food was always at least 15 to 30 minutes late...which was a problem. But the real problem is the lack of soundproofing. We were there two nights. On the second day two very noisy guests checked in.. talking in loud voices and listening to loud music till past midnight. And then they began again at 5,am demanding bed tea playing music and generally being really inconsiderate to the other guests. There was no one to complain to onejust had to put up with this nonsense..and it ruined our stay and we had a long day ahead.. Pity because the place is nice..but if the guests are inconsiderate your life is pretty difficult..and no one cares to apologize or acknowledge to he problem. Cheaper and better stay in a vivanta

Serene, Tranquil and great hospitality. Harok who was looking after us knows his job well and made sure we are well. Great experience winding up our Assam Trip.

Avoid this place..the rooms are big and the food is ok|.but always late. And the rooms have no sound proofing and there were two very noisy guests.. friends of the owners perhaps... Totally inconsiderate...loud chatter and music till late at night and again at 5 am. No one to contact about the situation and no one bothers when you complain the next day||Beautiful property ..badly run by indifferent owners..

It is a private property in the middle of lush green tea garden. Can be a great place for small gathering. Visited with family for a day long trip. They charge 1000 rs per adult for day visit. The charge includes lunch too. Food was homely and the behavior of staff were quite helpful. They informed fishing and cycling type activities are arranged in winter season only. Little repairing and decorations needed here and there. Nevertheless a small, quite place for a peaceful outing.

Very money minded. For almost 3.6k we got a tiny room with just basic amenities. To top it when we were checking out, we were handed out a bill of 1.7k for the dinner we had!! For a room of 3.6k, paying 1.7k for very plain basic homemade food is ridiculous! This ruined our impression and experience. The roads to reach this place do not exist literally. The journey is not worth. However people are courteous and greet you with smiles which is the only plus. Would highly recommend to stay away for a peaceful vacation.

Very awesome. Nice place for family outing. Good hospitality, well behaved staff, mesmerizing and peaceful tea garden, parks and state of the art Heritage building. The owner of the property is very very admirable person, with great personality and treats visitors as his own family members. A resort with something really special.

Unfortunate experience with Puroni Bheti @ Jorhat. The website mentions plenty of descent snaps and activities at the property. On communication the owner and manager also assured the same. Surprisingly on visit we found the manager is missing from the place, the place is managed only by one guy ... Mukti ( a very forthcoming gentleman). The rooms offered to us were far different from what was promised on website (snaps of rooms assured different rooms). It was very difficult for a single person the manage the guests, even there was no one to provide drinking water ... forget tea or coffee. Kids had tough time as The dinner was served after lot of requests and delay. The rooms were smelly and the linens could have been clean. There were no activities as claimed on the website and on enquiry the manager gave a dumb reply that he is trace and it should have been clarified from the owner. On the next day after ordering the breakfast... the breads had ants all over ... and finally the burnt roasts were served ....only one staff had a difficult time to manage all the guests and we had to leave without completing the breakfast. In all, inspite of a descently located property and spacious rooms it was a horrible experience due to lack of interest of manager and carelessnesses of owner towards the comfort of guests. Strongly not recommended for family travellers and fun loving people seeking good times.
