Vishwaratna Hotel

I stayed at Vishwaratna Hotel between 22nd and 24th April 2025 and had a rather disappointing experience, especially given the expectations from a suite room. First off, the bed was extremely small--even in the suite. A queen-size bed in a suite? That's simply not acceptable for the category of room or the price paid. The room was noisy and uncomfortable--the windows wouldn't lock properly, and loud music from hotel events made it nearly impossible to get any rest. Despite repeated requests to the staff to change the room, there was absolutely no response or assistance. To make matters worse, the food was below average, lacking both quality and variety. Due to the discomfort, I was forced to check out a day early (on 23rd) despite having paid for the room till the 24th. No staff member showed any courtesy or even asked why I was leaving early. No help, no apology--nothing. Overall, it was a poor experience that I wouldn't recommend, especially for anyone expecting even basic service and peace in a so-called suite.

I had booked a stay at Hotel Vishwaratna for 21st Feb'25 and cancelled more than 48 hours in advance, well within the hotel's 24-hour cancellation policy. Despite this, I have received no refund till date.||What's worse -- there has been zero acknowledgment of my multiple emails. I even managed to contact their accounts department and followed up several times over phone, including speaking to the accounts head -- but nothing has moved.||Extremely disappointing experience with a complete lack of professionalism. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values accountability or customer service.

Experience staying at ViswaRatna,Guwahati was quite good. Located centrally in market place and well connected. Neat & clean & well managed. Restaurant served food which was quite tasty and fulfilling, though prices were slightly on the higher end. Overall stay was comfortable

The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a good meal. The staff behaviour was excellent--everyone was courteous, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their service was prompt and efficient, ensuring a hassle-free experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the delicious food. Every dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and served fresh. The variety on the menu caters to different tastes, making it a great spot for all kinds of food lovers. Additionally, the hotel offers valet parking service, which adds to the convenience, especially in a busy area. Overall, Vishwaratna Hotel is a great place for a delightful dining experience, with top-notch hospitality and excellent facilities. Highly recommended!

Despite multiple complaints the food quality remains poor. The rooms are subpar and not worth the price. Additionally, the staff is rude, making the overall experience disappointing.

I stayed at the hotel during my visit to Assam and Meghalaya. We stayed there for just one night on 31st Dec 2024 They didn't even check the room before allotting it to the guests. The toilet seat was broken. There were no napkins or hand towels. I have to call the room service every now and then. I decided to have a dinner at the hotel restaurant. Even though we were the only ones at the restaurant no one care to pay attention to take our order. The staff was more busy watching TV for the new year eve show. Thank goodness it was only for one day that I have to bear this hotel.

We were upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite. It had a living area with a sofa and a small dining area, a large bathroom and a separate bedroom. All spaces were larger than average. The bed was very comfortable, with great pillows and breakfast was included. There was some kind of party or function happening which was very loud but I was so tired I fell asleep regardless and it stopped around 11. Then it sounded like someone was doing minor renovations above us for 30 min or so. Short walk to market area with good street food.

I visited the hotel with my wife around 10pm at night, and visited the reception at 2nd floor and I fulfilled their requirements as per their demand. They provided the room as I have booked before arrival to the hotel. The room, they provided was unexpected. The thing was that they join 2 single bed to make it seems like double bed, which make me no sense for booking the room, I won't able to sleep the whole night. Reception feel sorry for such things happen and also they committed that they are providing the room by seeing the guest and collect the value ASAP, I feel very much sorry for booking the room after their commitment. But what happen, they did nothing instead sorry......
